So I got to Bond Street station from Waterloo via the Jubilee Line around 6:30am and decided to make sure I had my bearings right. I went and found not only Gould's but the Embassy itself which was still preparing for another day of work.

I went back to Starbucks on Lower Audley Road (I believe that's what it's called) and had a drink while waiting for Gould's to open. Once it had opened, I dropped in my phone, keys and my dogtags as they had a glass bottle charm Amy made for me.

As you're coming from Gould's, when you reach the black bollards you need to stay at the "back" of them and to the left of them. The front section is for US Citizen Services. The check-in team will come through the line, sending you to Gould's if you still have electronics, checking your DS-160s and interview letters, giving you a bag to place belts and watches in (unless you have a handbag/backpack, in which case they tell you to put them in there instead).

My foreign fiance said the guides and reviews here helped him a lot, and they also helped me here in the USA picture what his interview was going to be like since I wasn't there. He said his experience there positive, except for a slight thing of one guy that was upset I hadn't made double copies of things like my employer letter (had no idea they needed that). But in all they were nice, helpful, and speedy. My fiance was approved, and super happy to tell me that he was. Thanks so much VJ for all your help, forums, and guides.

So me and my mum went to London (From Norwich) the day before my interview on the 2nd of December 2013. We stayed at a really lovely hotel called Park Lane Mews Hotel which is just a 10minute walk to/from the US Embassy and Is right behind the Hilton hotel (which is the tallest building in the area) meaning its incedibly easy to find. They also gave us directions to the Ebassy and both the night staff and morning staff said good luck and congratulated me

My Interview time was for 8:30am and we left the hotel at 7:30am and arrived at around 7:42am. There was pretty much no line, no more than 30 people where waiting outside. I got In line and gave my interview letter to a woman at an outside desk and she glanced at it and told me to wait in the right line which I did, there are two small buildings outside, which are for the security I went into the right one, (they let 4 people in at a time)I then followed the signs around the side of the building chat... read complete review

I got to the embassy at about 7.45. There were 2 queues outside, 1 to have your name checked off the list and then the other to get inside. I got inside at about 8, and was number I-911, which meant I was the 11th immigrant visa in line.
They started calling numbers at about 8, I'd say there were about 10 N (non immigrant) numbers called for every immigrant number. The immigrant numbers were all called in order so you can pretty easily gage how long you have to wait. I just read my book, the screen pings every time a number is called so you don't miss it.
I was called to the first window at about 9.30, and spoke to the chinese lady. I had read on here that she's very quiet, but I didn't really find that, it's sort of difficult to hear anyone because they're behind glass and there were kids shouting and crying all around. She took my passport photo, birth certificate and photocopy, police certificate and photocopy. There was a brief moment of panic when she asked for a pol... read complete review

This is my fiance's review of his interview this morning at the London Embassy:

My interview appointment time was 9:00 AM, I arrived at the Embassy around 7:35 and joined the queue. I was in the Embassy within 30 minutes. The security guard in line was very friendly and asked me about my scarf (was wearing a Crystal Palace FC scarf) so we talked football for 5 or 10 minutes. Once inside I got my ticket number I-912 and took a seat.

I sat waiting around 1 hour 45 minutes before being called up to Window 1. I stood there for 15 minutes before an Asian woman turned up. She was not friendly, but not mean. I just felt rushed by her. She seemed impatient. She took my Birth Certificate and copy, Police Certificate and copy, Affidavit of Support and Employer Letter and passport photos. She then gave me my disc with my x-ray on it. She was very difficult to understand.

She told me to sit back down and wait for my number to be called for the intervi... read complete review
