My appointment was for 9am, but I arrived at the embassy around 7.30am. Shortly after I got there, they split the line into 2, those with appointments at 8am, those with appointments after. I was lucky enough to be 4th in line for those with appointments after 8am, despite the majority of people behind me having appointments at 8.30, 30 mins before mine! So to mirror what's been said on here before, get there early, it really pays off.
A little after 8am, they had cleared the 8am appointments and moved onto the 2nd line, my DS-260, interview letter and passport were requested (well actually they asked for the DS-160, so when I presented the DS-260 she said "oh, you are here for an immigrant visa." Also, I didn't receive my letter because my appointment was brought forward at such short notice, so I presented the email I received which did say on it to show this if the letter hadn't arrived). All checked, all good, asked to stand in the security line.

The whole experience was pretty positive. I arrived 3/4 hour early for my 8am appointment. There were already 5 people ahead of me in the queue and it quickly grew. We were split into groups once the staff arrived and it would seem the K and Spouse visa applicants were processed first. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. They wanted everyone to have the confirmation page of the DS160, the interview letter and passport ready for when you got to the front of the line. We lined up a second time before being sent, 3 at a time, into the baggage, X-ray room. Again, very friendly staff. From here we were to go around to the other side of the building to enter the processing room and receive a personal processing number. We were then directed to sit anywhere in the large waiting room.
I was called 4th or 5th and directed to go to window 1. I had heard reports that the staff were sullen and unhelpful on occasions but my experience certainly didn't suggest that. She was ver... read complete review

I had my interview this morning scheduled for 8am at the embassy in London. I figured I'd write my review now before I forget what happened!
I headed round to Gould Pharmacy at about 7.20 and handed my bag in for £3. Then
I joined the long line outside the Embassy which already had about 40 people ahead of me at 7.25. I'd say 80% of people were wearing smart office dress, but there were also those in jeans and trainers. An employee walked down the line and checked my appointment letter and separated the long line into smaller lines based on appointment times. She also asked if anyone had a laptop and directed those that did to Goulds Pharmacy. I thought it was strange that she told the man in front of me that he could take his iPad in but not the keyboard attached to it!
I was outside for about 15 minutes before I went through a miniature version of airport security and made it inside the embassy by 7.55. Once inside I was given several labels with... read complete review

The interview went quickly and efficiently. The staff were pleasant and easy to work with. I was not allowed in since only the applicant is allowed in now I guess. We were in line for security by 0730 and by 0800 she was sat down in the embassy. By 0805 she was called up for the first time and the paperwork was taken and a few simple questions were asked.
From there she sat back down and waited until 0900 and was called up again and asked to give an oath and fingerprints were taken. By 0915 she was out the door and we were on our way home :happydance:
