I arrived at the U.S Embassy at around 7.45, there was already two lines but not a whole lot of people and the lines moved pretty quick. One line on the left is where I went first to get checked off the list and then I was told to join the second line, where I waited to go through the security hut.
After the security hut I walked around the side and corner of the building and up the stairs where there is immediately a reception desk, handed over my interview letter and passport and the lady gave me a ticket number (I910) and told me to go up the stairs to the left and take a seat.
By the time I sat down it must have been about 8.15, lots of numbers were constantly getting shown on the screen, primarily N numbers which I think must have been all the non-immigrant type visas (by the time I left the embassy the N numbers were going past 300, lots of people waiting).
The I9 numbers were getting called up very slowly, I was called up about 8.45 to a window with a nice British gentleman sat behind it who took my passport, ticket number, receipt of payment and delivery, originals of my birth certificate, police certificate, I-134 and supporting documents (I handed over my fiances letter from employer and 2013 W2). The man took my fingerprints from both hands and then asked me to take a seat and said I will be called again for my interview. I was with him for about 10-15 minutes so it was about 9am when I sat back down.
TWO HOURS later I was called up again for my interview. The I9 numbers were being called up extremely slowly and to the same window, so I think that there was only one lady doing the actual interviews for K visas...
The american lady interviewing me was very nice and was also very fast (maybe because she was the only one interviewing like I said....) She asked me how we met, what he does for a living, what I do, the last time I saw him and when he proposed. I was expecting her to ask more about our wedding arrangements but then she said "I'm going to recommend that this visa be approved, your visa should be with you within 5-10 days" and I all of a sudden became so overwhelmed, said thank you about 7 times and got out of there!
