We had applied through DCF. The interview was at 11:30 on the 16th March. We arrived 45 minutes early, there was only a short line, and when I told the girl at the awning that there were three of us (petitioner and two beneficiaries), she noted that my name was not on the list but that it was no longer an issue and I would be allowed in. We almost made it in, but she saw at the last moment that we were early and told us to come back at 11:15. So we just sat by a memorial until about 11:10 and then she let us proceed. No line, through security in moments, and into the front entrance. Helpful desk clerk sent us up to the visa waiting area and before we had sat down and gathered our thoughts, our number was on the screen, for window 13.
The guy there was very friendly and helpful, and while I popped to the neighbouring window to pay the fee, my wife was sorting through the papers with him. He took the original and copy of the expected list: Marriage certificate, my naturalisation ... read complete review

Brilliantly speedy and efficient process that was made as non-stressful as possible by the friendly staff. At no point did I feel pressured and all my anxieties of waiting were alleviated as soon as I spoke with members of staff.

The interview itself took about 30 seconds, and the overall visit was about an hour and a half from start to finish. Everyone was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process! I spent a majority of the time waiting to be called up. You initially have to go through a scanner, similar to what happens at TSA in the airports. For those of you WITH a co-sponsor:

My fiancée's dad was our co-sponsor due to the income requirement. My fiancée had still given me an I-134 of her own, just to be safe incase they wanted to see hers- even though nearly *everyone* has sworn they would not care about hers. The officer I had asked to see hers despite having her father's, which had more than enough income to prove I would not become a public charge in the U.S. I'm really thankful she decided to write one out just incase! Maybe it wouldn't have been a problem if she hadn't, but I'm glad that I had it on hand so when he asked me for it, I was able to gi... read complete review

No queue when I got there at 11:30am (there was a huge one about 2 hours before that when I first walked by). Was quickly sent into the waiting seat area. Promptly got the first part done and spent maybe 40 minutes waiting for the 2nd interview. This went painlessly and I was approved. I was there for about an hour.

My appointment was at 12:30pm and I arrived about 5-10mins early. I was queueing at the wrong pavilion to start with, it wasn't terribly clear and others in the queue seemed to be confused where they were supposed to be as well. I've been to the embassy before for my student visa (and for the renewals) and there's usually someone standing outside who directs you where to go... Regardless, it didn't take me long to find out I had to enter via the right pavilion, which is for those seeking visas. The one on the left is for "official visitors". In the pavilion you go through security, like at an airport. The security guys were very friendly.

Then you follow the path around the building to where you enter and present your passport and interview letter to reception. They weren't terribly welcoming in reception and were quite unprofessional. There were 3 of them chatting and joking amongst themselves and not acknowledging me. I think one of them had finished her shift and was ... read complete review
