My interview was scheduled for 11:30am. I had made sure that I got to Bond Street an hour before just in case there were any delays on the train and tube. I went to a really cute cafe near by and had a coffe and went up to the blue visa tent. I told the lady that I had an interview at 11:30 and she asked me oh are you ..... and I confirmed and she asked me for my appointment letter and passport and said great walk over to that door and they'll let you in. Through the door is the security and its pretty similar to the airport but obviously much much smaller. Everything was fine and I was told to go to the right around the building and then walk inside. Inside is a reseption desk and the lady asked me for my appointment letter and placed the stickers on it. She told me to go straight ahead to the large waiting area and wait for my number to be called up. I went in sat down for about 20 min then was called to one of the "desks" it looks very similar to the post office or the bank. She as... read complete review

Had my consulate interview on September 18th. I picked the latest interview slot of 1pm, when around 10 other parties were in the waiting room. My documents were checked within 5 minutes, and I had the loveliest interviewer. He was very friendly, understanding, and even joked around a little. That really put my nerves at ease, but after waiting an hour and a half, they were right back.

I was the last number to be called up, and I feel as though my interviewer has never smiled a second in his life. A complete contrast to the other staff members I'd interacted with, he was emotionless throughout (even seemingly judging at times, in regards to our finances) and phrased questions weirdly to try and catch me out. While I understand that that's his job, the interview also ended very suddenly and anti-climatically; within seconds of my answering his last question, he said, deadpan and not even looking at me, 'okay, the visa will be in your passport when you receive it within 1... read complete review

Interview date: 3rd November 2017 scheduled: 10:30am Embassy: London

I arrived at the embassy entrance at around 9:30am. There were looooong lines of people (probably around 100ish). I went straight up to the front desk and told the woman I have a spouse visa interview at 10:30. She told me to come back to her at about 10:15 and just come straight to her - not to line up. I went for a quick cup of tea and was too excited really to sit around so I went back to the woman at 10am and she took a look at my interview letter and passport and told me to join another line which was in front of a window written "interview appointments only" there was about 15 people in this line.

I spoke to the woman behind me who said her appointment time was for 9:30 but she thinks there's just so many people it's impossible to get in on time. I'm not sure if she maybe lined up in the long line to get in this same line as me. The officer was letting four people in at one time t... read complete review

I arrived for my 11:30 appointment at 11:00. I approached the blue tent with “visa services” at the top. There were no queues to be seen anywhere. I checked in with my confirmation letter and passport- the lady was very nice and told me to come back in 15 minutes and to go right through. Once you enter the building you put your belongings in a tray to be scanned- very much like an airport. Again everyone was lovely.
I hadn’t even sat down when they called my number. All paperwork (birth certificate, police certificates (and in my case, notarised translations), confirmation letter and proof of financial support (they took the I-134 and a tax return).
Then I sat back down and waited nervously. I was number I906 and they were already interviewing I905! In 5 minutes, if that, I was called up for my interview... nervous was an understatement!
However, the gentleman was lovely. Whilst I knew it was an interview it was very conversation like and my ne... read complete review
