Firstly I'll just say that I'm so grateful to the people who have contributed to this thread before me. Reading all the reviews really put me at ease the day before and helped me know what to expect! Also, they were pretty much all entirely accurate and reflect my own experience, which makes this review I'm writing easier

My interview was scheduled for 9.30. I arrived at 9, spoke to the lady at the desk of the blue visa tent, and she directed me to the correct queue. There are a lot of people around to direct you and ask questions, so you really can't go wrong. I got through security and into the embassy at pretty much 9.30 on the dot. I was called to the first window within 5 minutes (where I handed over my passport, birth certificate, photo and I-134), then sat down for another 15 minutes or so, before I was called up to the second window for my interview. The questions were all really easy, and about my fiancee and our relationship. You really can't go wrong if your relationship is legitimate! And then I was leaving the embassy by 10.10am. Easy peasy!

I also have joined the (apparently large) group of people who prepared an extensive folder of documents with tabs and dividers containing evidence of our relationship (call logs, wedding plans, boarding passes from trips together since submitting the I-129F, photos...) and was NOT ASKED FOR ANY OF IT. Given the effort I'd put into it, I must say I was pretty proud of it and was kinda hoping they would ask for it...!! But no. No interest. I think it would probably only be called for if something about your relationship seems suspicious. Anyways - I'm not saying don't prepare any of that evidence (because it's definitely better to have it and not use it, than not have it and wish you did), but just don't stress about it.

A few things which might be useful to know:
- yes the security is like airport security, but you ARE allowed to take in a bottle of water, and/or a thermos, so long as it's made of metal or plastic (no glass). They might just ask you to sip from it.
- no laptops, but phones, ipads and USB sticks are all OK

Good luck everyone!
