Review Topic: EB-1 Visa

Well that was a waste of time that might have life changing repercussions for me.

Interview scheduled for 9am January 30th at the new London embassy. Got there early, but allowed through at 8.30am. Process was smooth as I was in an immigrant visa category, and I got to skip nearly all of the queues. Immigrant visa petitioners end up in a separate private section away from everyone else two left hand turns from the elevators. This is where things stopped being smooth.

The process is in three parts: 1) submission of documents, wait and then 2) actual interview then 3) pay visa fee.

1) Spoke to the lady at the window. Volume on the speaker was really low so was a struggle to hear her. Find out at this point that they did not have my medical file but get through this part ok. They keep your original birth certificate at this point and don't tell you, so a few of us were wondering what was going on.

2) Get to the interview properly... read complete review

Hello all! Long time lurker, just joined VJ to give you all an update.

Met at my now wife online in 2006 and we’ve been close friends ever since. We developed an online business selling 3D items in an online game (Second Life) and made good money for a few years. We were both married to other people at the time and there were no secrets about our online activities. She went on to get divorced and lived with her son; I didnt visit her until 2016 - as a friend only - when my then wife told me she wanted a divorce (and not for the reason you’re now thinking! lol) so I ended up staying in the USA. It was just before I was due to return to the UK on the expiration of my 90 days that my now wife proposed so I ended up staying.

We used a lawyer to file the I-130 and I-485 in June, PD was 7 June. An immediate RFE for the medical which I had on the 13th (and all clear according to the unofficial copy the doctor gave me (shhh)). Biometrics in July; ... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I arrived at the US Embassy London at 9:30am, my appointment was scheduled for 10am.
The lady at the blue tent was very kind and fast tracked me as I have immigrant intent. She signed me in and allowed me to join a shorter security line.
After the security booth (airport style) it was a quick walk up the side and in the building to hand the DS-160 document over and I was issued a sticky number (I-902), within seconds of me stepping foot in the waiting room I was called the first window via the large display on the back wall.

The kind male CO collected and checked all my documents he wished to see, and confirmed a few basic question - name, any other countries resided, intent date of marriage and arrival date.

Within 2 minutes of finishing at window 1, my number got called again, so I walked over to the next window and was greeted by another American male.
He prompted me to take an Oath before asking me any further questions. Once do... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My interview time was 9.30am on 29/11/2017. I arrived at the embassy around 9.10am and joined the queue in front of the blue visa tent. (There were 2 queues, the left queue is for people checking in and the right queue is for those that have checked in but are not there for immigration interviews). When I handed over my appointment letter I was told not to join the other queue as I was there for an immigration interview and to go straight up to one of the security officers who also checked my letter and then sent me into the security room. My bag was scanned just like at the airport and then I was advised to go into the main building. I checked in again with a lady at a desk and she attached stickers to my appointment letter. I then went in to a large room and waited in the seating area. There is a large screen that flashes up numbers and tells you which window to go to. It took around 10 minutes for my number to appear. (Your number is on one of the stickers) I went to my allocated wi... read complete review
