My wife was the one who went in. The interview was only about 5-10 minutes and the questions were pretty straight forward. Before the interview starts they collect the copies of the marriage certificate, Birth certificate, and other required documents. This was for the spouce visa.
1.When did you first meet.
2.How did you meet.
3.What does your husband do for work.
4.What city are you going to live in America.
5.How often does your husband come visit.
6.Can you show proof of the visits like pictures or tickets.
7.When is your wedding day.
And that's it after that the interviewer said you should be able to pick up your visa in 1-2 days at the dedicated post office.

The embassy process was very smooth and fast, Myself and other applicants for K1 visa interview on the same day hardly spent 30 minutes before all our interview was completed. I guess the COVID rules plays some roles to limit the waiting time and the process. Thank Allah (God) we made it through successfully.

Many visas were rejected for a myriad of reasons ( no domicile of US Spouse. Many were asked to have US spouse who is living in UAE to cancel the UAE Residency and then visa will be issued. Many were also asked for Tax Transcript to be uploaded on NVC.) I was not asked any of these and the process was smoother than expected. Very positive feelings on the experience.

So here was my interview experience.
- I reached at 7 15am. There were 3 people ahead of me. It was first come first serve and the guards were noting the order so come early if you want to finish early. In the next half hour at least a dozen other people had arrived.
- They called us inside around 8 for the security check etc. then we sat in the waiting area till around 9 I think.
- Did the fingerprint and submitted birth/marriage certificate and police certificate
- In another 20 min or so number was called for interview with the consular officer, it was in the same area and the officer sat behind a screen, not a private room. He was friendly and polite and asked me this only:
When did you first meet
When did you get married
Where did you get married
When did your wife move to the US
Is this your first marriage?
Do you have any children?
Where in the US does your wife live
When do you plan t... read complete review
