Setting the interview date was okay, we found an interview date for about a month later. Appointment was at 8.00 and we were there by 7.30. They called 7.45 first, and a few minutes later they announced they were expecting people whose interviews are at 8.00. First, they took my passport at the window outside. Then, I went through a door and through an x-ray. Everything went into the bin (I only had my wallet. Everything else was with my fiancèe. Inside, people at the desk gave me a number, and I started waiting for my turn. When it was my turn, a polite worker asked me for my documents one by one through a checklist. I wasn't able to locate one of the documents and she informed me I could print it out from a computer they had just set up on the side. I handed in all my document, printed out the missing one, and sat down, waiting for my number to light up again. I got to listen to a few people having their interviews. Some of them didn't have an updated letter of intent, or had appli... read complete review

"Good forums to everyone. After a long wait, we finally completed the interview and received visa approval. Exactly 1 year and 3 months later, I set aside questions like 'How will things go? What documents are needed for the next stage? What if we get rejected?' and believe me, there's nothing like the peace of mind. We've aged a year in just one year. Regarding the interview day, our interview was on the same day and at the same time as @Payakan. We experienced everything exactly the same way, but I'll still write, as I've come this far with the experiences of other people. First, let me talk about transportation. I came from Adana with the 00:30 bus and was at A?ti around 6:10. My interview was at 08:15. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from A?ti to the consulate. There's a black car next to the consulate where you can leave your belongings (it's a bit suspicious because it's black and a car, but you can trust it, the simit seller on the corner said so ?). Interviews are announced s... read complete review

My husband said that the officer asked him the same question several times about my mother (his mother in law) as if to trick him. The officer also said that my husband was missing a document but my husband had it, the officer just did not look over his papers, or any of the things that would have shown proof of what he rejected our application for. I have been through this process before with a fiance visa many years ago, and my experience was much easier that time. I feel like luck was not on our side and the officer my husband had to do the interview with was not careful at all. Our case has been further delayed, as a result of such error on their part and we are really frustrated. I just want my husband to come home.

Overall it was a very easy process. Our interview was at 8am and we got there 1 hour early. Around 7:30am they let everyone in. My fiancé told me that they first called her to ask for documents: birth certificate, affidavit of support, letter of intents, police clearance. From there she waited 20 minutes and was called over to the booth. She told me the interviewer was super friendly and it was extremely relaxing and an easy experience. They asked her how we met, what does your fiancé do for work, do you have wedding plans. From there, he said congratulations you’re approved and you’ll have your passport mailed to you next week. Definitely nothing to feel anxious or nervous about. Just come prepared with documents and answer normal questions and you’re good to go.

It was easier than we expected. Our appointment was at 8 which is when they start working appropriately. When we arrived at the gate there was a big crowd containing both immigrant and non-immigrant visa applicants. They were asking people to go through security by time brackets. I had a tote bag to put all of the documents that we brought and even though there isn't anything more than documentation they didn't let me bring the bag in. The only things that they allow are documents, a wallet, and keys. Rest should stay out. after admission, there is only one way to go. After you got in the line there are a couple of staff to check your appointment, put a tracking sticker on your passport and forward you to the correct booth. even though there are many booths available there was only one booth working for immigrant visas. before the interview, your number is called for a different booth to check your documentation. They didn't ask anything (we were over-prepared). they took my passport, ... read complete review
