My fiance just finished his interview at the Ankara Embassy this morning. We walked up there at 7:30 am for his 8:15 interview. It's not necessary to go so early as they make everyone wait across the street until their interview time is called. Those with 8:15 interviews were called to line up just after 8:00. U.S. citizens are not allowed to enter to attend the interview with their fiance, and you cannot bring your phone inside the Embassy. He entered through the outside security around 8:25. Once inside, they gave him a number, asked if he wanted to do the interview in Turkish or English (he chose English), took his medical file, and told him to wait. After about one hour, they called his number and he went up to the window. He said they were really nice and they asked him: how we met, about our brothers and sisters, have we met each other's parents, and what are our wedding plans. They did not ask to see any additional evidence or photos. I was waiting at the hotel and he returned ... read complete review

My fiancé arrived for his 830 appointment out of 120 people waiting he was the last one to be interviewed approximately five hours the interview took less than 10 minutes the interview lady was about in her mid-20s didn't ask too many questions just that she was concerned that he was a single man never married and why he wanted to marry me. They requested a few additional emails and phone records even though we had printout of Skype and several letters it was disappointing that he has to do administrative review which could take more than three months.

I had my interview on Jan.11. My appointment was at 8 am. and I appeared in front of the embassy at around 7.45 am and there were only 5-6 people before me. They started to let people inside the building one by one. Passing through x-ray screening took about 15 mins, mostly by waiting in the line. A lady asked which type of visa I was applying for and she gave me a number to follow. 15 mins later my number was called and an officer asked me to submit my medical report, passport and other documents which was asked me to bring in the email that the embassy sent to me 5 days prior to my interview date. She then told me to keep waiting for the next call of my number. Second call was like after a 1,5 hrs wait. A really nice lady conducted the interview with me and my 5 years old son. She asked my fiance's name, how we met,his profession, my profession, where we are gonna live. She talked to my son as well and she exactly knew how to communicate with a child and get the right answers therefo... read complete review
