My interview was at Sep 6th 2017 and I received a check list for lack of prove of domicile documents. I sent the supporting docs to the embassy at Oct 7th and I received my visa issuance email on Oct 14th.

There is a small shop across the road to lend your items to.
You need to wait in front of the door next to the road for the security to call out your interview hour, then you get in line in front of the security as they call the people in line one by one and search them and get them inside. Once you get inside you are lead to inner section by some signs, when you do you get registered and sit down in the waiting area until your number is called. There is a small playing mat for babies/small children.

I arrived at 7:10am for an 8:00am appointment. I was told to wait somewhere else until 7:50. They took me into the embassy then. I had to show my passport and they checked the list. They took about 30 of us in at the same time. They had written everywhere that they don't take electronics, watches and bags. I had brought a bag, so I had to leave it across the street at the corner store and pay the man there 5 lira to keep it for me. I went through security and they put a sticker on my passport and gave me two numbers on a perforated piece of paper. When my number came up I went to the window. There was a Turkish woman and she asked for my birth certificate (Nufus kayidi ornegi), health exam results, police report, an updated copy of the petitioner's retirement fund beneficiary as proof of relationship and two pictures. She also asked for a few pictures, but I had taken 4 photo albums and they didn't fit under the window even with me pushing and her pulling. We laughed, then she asked if... read complete review

Interview was very smooth. Lady was helpful and had a positive attitude. She asked about how we met, what does my fiance do for living, how we decided to get married, when the last visit of him was. Waiting for the interview was 3 hours, interview itself was 5 minutes😀

I prepared the folder thoroughly, had 23 photos of us from when my wife-to-be visited me three times and simply from video calls we had. Entering the consulate, I waited only 10 minutes until my number popped up and I spoke to the first officer. One of the documents they wanted to have along with the I-134 form was missing (I think the officer said something like "File 1400") but she said that our documents looked all very good and that the consulate might decide to accept it the way it is. The first officer talked to me in Turkish.

She collected following documents and sent me back to sit and wait again:

- All documents that are listed in the mail
- All photos
- A copy of the birth certificate of our child (I offered that one)

She didn't look at or ask for our flight tickets and similar documents or our conversations at all. I had my former passport with me but I forgot to offer it and she didn't ask for it since I haven't bee... read complete review
