My husband's interview was July 16th, 2015. I did not attend (his wife). He arrived at 8:00AM for his 9:00AM appointment. The whole ordeal took him a couple hours.

The first man (Tunisian) who took his fingerprints and documents (medical, original birth, original marriage, and original police certificates) was very nice to him, making him comfortable and speaking Arabic with him.

The second man (White American Consular Officer) who conducted his interview was AWFUL. He first asked my husband if he wanted the interview conducted in English or French. My husband said English, but then the Consular Officer proceeded to give the oath in FRENCH >

My husband said the number of questions was low and basic.
MY BEST ADVICE TO YOU:
If you are adopted, make SURE your spouse knows the difference between a legal parent and a birth parent. My husband answered one question about my birth mother when the question ... read complete review

It was 10 - 15 minutes. She was a serious interviewer but she didn't ask too many questions. She asked about the family and the wedding. Someone before her asked for the police report and the medical exam.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

So my fiance's visa interview was April 16, 2015 at 9am. He said the entire process was quick and easy.

These are the questions that my fiance could remember:

What is your name?
What do you do for a living?
Where are you from?
What is your fiance's name?
Where was she born?
What does she do for a living?
What do her parent's names?
What do they do for a living?
When is the wedding?
Where is the wedding?

Then she asked for pictures.

The officer did ask for police certificates and medical exam results.

On 1/5/2014 I sent an email to the embassy because our status was still "InTransit" Nobody responded to our email. We arrived for our interview on 1/8/2014. We were denied entry into the embassy due to the embassy guards being on strike. We were told to come back the next day at 9AM and we would be given our appointment then. I called the embassy that afternoon to confirm that we would be given our appointment on the next day and also to verify that our case had been received and I told the person again that our case was still "in transit" I was told that I was wasting time by calling because if I have an appointment that means that they are ready for the interview and that calling to confirm was unnecessary.

On 1/9/2014 we arrived for my husband's interview and we waited from 8:30 until after noon. When there were only 3 people left in the whole room they finally called us to the window. The officer told us that the NVC hadn't sent our case yet and they would contact u... read complete review
