My husband's interview was July 16th, 2015. I did not attend (his wife). He arrived at 8:00AM for his 9:00AM appointment. The whole ordeal took him a couple hours.
The first man (Tunisian) who took his fingerprints and documents (medical, original birth, original marriage, and original police certificates) was very nice to him, making him comfortable and speaking Arabic with him.
The second man (White American Consular Officer) who conducted his interview was AWFUL. He first asked my husband if he wanted the interview conducted in English or French. My husband said English, but then the Consular Officer proceeded to give the oath in FRENCH >
My husband said the number of questions was low and basic.
MY BEST ADVICE TO YOU:
If you are adopted, make SURE your spouse knows the difference between a legal parent and a birth parent. My husband answered one question about my birth mother when the question ... read complete review

Our original interview day was For sept. 4, 2014... due to them not entering our case into the computer, we had to wait for them to find our case and put it into the system. The embassy was supposed to contact us for a second interview, but they were not contacting us, so we had to have the Senator's office and go to the embassy directly. We got our second interview for Oct 2, 2014.
My husband arrived to the interview early and was checked in and went through security, then waited to be called once he was inside the embassy. He was called first to the window. A man asked for his passport, medical exam, police certificate, NEW birth certificate and three photos. Then he was asked to sit down to wait the interviewer. A female interviewer called him to another window and asked him to put his hands on a scanner for his finger prints. Then she made him say an oath, to say he was telling the truth. Then the questions started...
1. what is your wife's name? ... read complete review

My fiance's interview appointment is scheduled for May 10, 2012. To date I would not give the Embassy very high marks. They are very, very slow to process things and very slow to respond, if they ever do. It took them 1 month to confirm receipt of our packet from NVC. I know that NVC sent it electronicly to them on March 9th and it took until April 9th for them to even confirm they had it and that was after I had sent several emails to inquire about it. I received the email requesting 1 form be completed which I completed and sent back the same day. It was another week before we received our appointment date and time and again that was only because I had sent an email saying I'd not received anything. I was told oh, well we didn't get it. That's a bunch of you know what. Anyway I sent it again and received the appointment immediately after that. I had some additional questions after that and got pretty quick responses from one man there but then when I had some additonal ques... read complete review
