The interview appointment was schedule for 7AM but only got called to be interviewed at 10.30AM. It did not matter whether you came first or last in the waiting line; in the end you were called by some random order (no idea). Before the interview, all the documents were given but no house registration as i was not informed to bring it. Called again to another window to verfify date of departure and arrival of other countries from passport stamps.
The interview was in English and I was not asked if I would prefer Thai or English. Anyway, the interview questions were typical such as:
- When did we meet?
- How did we meet? (asked for details)
- My previous trips to the US with different visas, what were the purposes of those?
- Why do I wanna marry him??? (This can be a lil tricky)
- What is his job/ what is my job? why do I wanna leave my work here?
- When did he become US citizen? (Quite unexpected)
Because of the m... read complete review

Our K1 visa also involved 2 K2 child visas. We had the proper written authority from the children's father to allow to emigrate to the USA, however the interviewer wanted a photo copy of the father's ID. Getting the ID took 1 week and 10 hours of bus travel. Also wanted was an updated single certificate. The original single cert was only good for 6 months. These 2 items were mailed in to embassy and we received the 3 visas. total lost time was 2 weeks+. Interviewer was pleasant and on time.

My Fiancée’s schedule for interview was yesterday March 25, 2013. But before she had her interview, she had her medical done a week before. She said that the medical went smoothly and that the staffs at the hospital where she had her medical were all friendly. She was able to get the result on the same day. It took her 3 hours including the waiting time to get everything done. The staff handed her the result reminding her that she should not attempt to open the sealed envelope and that she should bring it to the embassy during the interview. There's another white envelope being handed to her and that is the result of the check up and the immunization record. So, the day of the interview came, and that was yesterday, March 25, 2013. Her appointment time was at 7:00am. My fiancé happens to have a friend who has gone through all this and generous enough to give her some tips. My fiancée was told that she must be at the embassy as early as 5:00am as the line gets longer in a blink of... read complete review

My fiance arrived at 6:30 for 7:00AM, Was instructed to desk sign in a submit paperwork for review and elsewhere to pay postage. Says she was called last at about 10:00.
Interviewer (farang man window 5 not cheering but very pleasent and polite):
Did not ask if wanted Thai or English just proceeded in Thai
1- How you meet? (Internet Facebook, have copy email friend request)
2- What website? (Fiancee gave odd answer about a common like tag on Facebook, no follow ups asked)
3- Asked where is father of her children. (Dead, have documentation)
And that was it!
Looked at pictures and documents briefly (asked no question)and gave paperwork back and said we'll send Passport to you within a week. You mean I get? Yes. THANK YOU!!
Crazy, we prepared for so much worse with mock interview etc, but it was breeze. So my thought if you are very thorough with paperwork as we were they it goes much easier for your loved one on the big day.
