I arrived in Bangkok on June 4th to go to the Embassy to support my fiancée. June 5th, we went to the hospital and got her medical completed. (Just fyi, if you're short on visa photos, the business center is on the 10th floor and you get 8 photos for 200 baht.)
June 6th, her interview time was at 11:30am. We arrived early and she went in about 10:45am and came out at 12:15pm with a 221(g). I had a non-traffic situation from last year and the interviewer asked her if she was aware of it and if it was OK? She said she didn't know anything about it and the interviewer gave her the 221(g) with instructions to talk with me and send them an email of the result. Then they would reschedule for the 2nd interview.
We had met in a coffee shop in Chiang Rai and he asked her if she liked coffee. Asked about our age difference and what was my job. He went through the 3 ring binder of proof of relationship documents and that was it.

Hello all. I hope this is the place to ask question about the BKK interview process. We have been granted a hold on our K1 application because I am still working and we want the visa for 2017 when I retire and I can take her to the U.S. We have been to told to notify them via email when we are ready for interview process. My question is how long after we tell them we are ready for interview will it actually take place? Thank you all in advance and it is great to read about your experiences.

My fiance told me the interview went very well and despite what I had read the Korean looking lady was friendly to her. We ended up with a reasonable 221(g) requiring proof of domicile.

My wife and I just got back to Chiang Mai after submitting I-130 package to the Homeland Security office. This is not in the embassy, but across the street from the U.S. citizen services entrance. My wife's friends in BKK kept saying that there is long line at embassy and have to get there very early. We arrived at the office at 8:00 am and were the only ones there. The guard at the desk ran us through his security routine and we went back to the service room.
At 8:30 sharp a Thai women appeared at the window and I presented the package of information. She left to go through it and came back perhaps 15 minutes later. The main problems we had related to some confusion as to what needed to be copied that necessitated a trip down to the first floor copy room (5 Bhat per page). The other problem was with the forms and the fact that I did not correctly put None or N/A in all of the spots that required it.
I then went to the cashier in the embassy, paid t... read complete review
