The whole process was VERY smooth and simple. In total I didn't spend more than 45 minutes inside the embassy. I was prepared for an interrogation-like, sit-down interview but I was only asked a few questions about how we met and how we've been keeping in contact since. The questions were asked quite informally through the window, so i didn't even realize that it was the actual interview. I though she was just making conversation. Also they didn't even need to see the proof of relationship i had assembled.

After the visit to the embassy i celebrated with a nice cup of coffee in Kungsträdgården and then, only 2 days later the my passport and visa package showed up in the mail.

Very friendly and professional. The only thing that surprised me was that they did not want proof of relationship or the affidavit of support from my husband(then fiance). She told me that since we had a joint sponsor his did not matter.

Hope this helps your nerves. The interview was a good experience finally meeting the ppl that makes it all happen javascript:emoticon('')

Had the appointement at 830. Got there at 815 and were let in pretty fast. I was told to go to window G there was a couple of people ahead of us. After waiting for about 20 minutes it was our turn, we handed in our passports and were asked to sit down. We waited for another hour or so and then we got called back to window G where we were asked to write our address on an envelope and hand in papers that they had asked for, in our case it was my husbands taxes for 2011. Then we were asked to sit down and wait again. 11 o'clock they called us to window F where the interview took place, I was asked how me and my husband met, what I fell for in him, how the wedding was etc. I was also asked how many times my husband has been here to visit us. My son was asked if he was looking forward to move. I left my fingerprints, but my son didn't have to do that. The interview itself took 5 minutes.... The only negative was the wait before the interview.

The whole interview felt more like a formality than questions to judge weather or not we should receive the visa. Just a few quick question about my fiancée and her family and then they said I was approved and that I would have the visa in hand in a week! The whole thing lasted around 30 minutes of which most was waiting, the actual interview wasn't more than 2-3 minutes. So a great and easy experience! Really nothing to worry about!

Interview was easy.. asked us how we met and where.. if we had ever been married e.t.c.. in our case there was some weight on that since my fiancé has a daughter from previous relationship so i guess they wanted to be sure that we were telling the truth about not beeing married before or that the child is actually mine... so if ur in a similar situation bring also the birth certificate of the child where it says the fathers/mothers name a.s.o.. it helps to keep immigrations happy

also it was just basic questions that where easy.. as long as u answer honestly and have everything ready.. everything from the checklist that is that they demand u have with u to the interview its no biggie and u will soon be together with ur baby !
