We were very stressed about how the interview would go because my fiance (the beneficiary) had been convicted of a misdemeanor in Spain recently, however the interviewers were very friendly and simply collected his biometrics and asked a couple of questions about how we met and the story about the arrest, and then approved him. They were extremely nice and it was less than 5 minutes at each window (2 total).
We were confused because online you could not request to have your visa sent to your home by courier, but my fiance was able to arrange that at the interview today and they said he should receive it at home via courier in a few days.

Buenas noches,
Carlos

A relatively painless process. The only hiccup was at the very beginning. Someone had forgotten to put my name (the petitioner) on the list of people authorized to enter the embassy that security at the door goes by. I was denied entry. My husband went in alone and when he was first called to the window he asked the woman if I could be let in. She rolled her eyes at her coworker's mistake and said of course and called security. I was waiting at the door and was immediately passed through.
The rest was very straight forward and quite quick. We turned in originals of our marriage certificate and his birth certificate (these were returned to us, she just needed to check them) and the police certificate (which she had to keep). We also turned in our 2014 tax transcript and more recent bank account statements, as we did assets only for the I-864.
The only questions asked about us were when and where we got married. Then he asked us about my work situation and b... read complete review

We were approved today at the US embassy in madrid!! javascript:emoticon(' ') We prepared a huge binder of every document imaginable for the interview. 90% of the stuff was unnecessary. The main thing they wanted to see were our financial and tax documents because we were applying on our assets only. We showed them all current up to date bank and investment info, along with our recent 2014 US tax return. We also showed them originals of our Marriage Certificate and Police Certificate. Everything went well.

MEDICAL
Easy peasy. They just ask some questions, do a quick examination, take some blood and then you have to go to a different building to get your X-Rays done. The bad part is that they don't do anything about your vaccinations. They ask you not to bring your records, they don't need to see them. They tell you that you'll have them checked in the US. Nice, I'll have to pay again.
INTERVIEW
You get there, leave your phone, get a number and wait. An officer will check the papers you sent. You'll have to give him your medical results and your passport. He'll give you some originals back (like your birth certificate, but not your police records). Then, you'll have to wait again and a different officer will call you for the interview. The interview happens through a window, not in an office as I expected. He made me swear an oath and then he asked me "What's your story?", "When did you get enganged?" and "Have you met his parents?". He was pretty interested in when a... read complete review
