-embassy appointment time is 9:45am, arrived at the embassy around 9:am.
-security check, the guard took my cell phone and thumb drive. then they told me after the door turn left, then I walk until I reach the second security door or information, then after that I reach the embassy lobby and one lady approached me and helped me to which department I have to go in. then she told me to get a queue number. inside that room there's a lot of applicants sitting there, so I sit down and relax for about 10 minutes my number was called at window 7, the first interviewer was a Chinese guy, he gave me my xray and after that he ask my passport, form I-134, ds156k and ds156 (2copy) but guys do not just photocopy the ds156 because they need your actual signature not just photocopy. So in my case He gave me another form of ds156 to fill up and sign. he let me sit down first. and while doing my ds156 form he call another applicant, so I have to wait again until the next applicant is done. after... read complete review

Smooth process, excellent consulate - in short.
Now for the long story.
- Interview slot at 9.45am; arrived at the embassy at 9.00am.
- Went through security check at the gate to surrender electronic devices. (Guys, make sure you check with the security guard where you should go because there was also a queue for non-immigrant visas in the open space)
- Interview hall has a mix of people interviewing for both immigrant and non-immigrant visas, for immigrant visas, our counter should be at counter seven.
- I was called immediately because the Chinese lady before me seemed to have forgotten something. (Guess it pays to be early and well-prepared!)
- Officer A is a nice young chap. I told him I was here for K1 visa and he confirmed my name before leaving to retrieve my data.

My interview slot was 1:30pm on 13th Sept.. When I got to the consulate, there were barely any people waiting at the waiting area (which was a vast difference from my previous visit, I was there for a 8:15 am slot in March 2012, and the waiting shack and waiting room were both crowded).
1:04pm - arrived at consulate, told guard my purpose there (he did not need to see the appointment letter) I was 6th in line.
1:12pm or so - Got called in for the security check (the two guys who got in front of me in the queue dumped their water.. I asked the guard if I could bring mine in and he said yes, the two guys looked at each other in a "oh damn it" way =p) Deposited phone and thumbdrive at the security counter, got a number tag for them.
Went through another security check, and then I got to the interview/waiting room and pressed the first button on the queue number machine, my number was 008.

After hearing from previous VJ member about the Consulate starting to ask for more documents during the interview, we tried to prepare as much as we can for the interview. Here is a brief list of thing we brought to the interview:
_ Copies of whatever you submitted to the USCIS and NVC (I-130 package, DS-230 package, I-864 package).
_ Updated financial documents for the main sponsor and the joint sponsor (bank statements, payslip, latest tax return).
_ Proof of relationship (a lot of photo, ticket stub, joint lease contract, etc…)
_ Interview documents (interview letter, NVC emails, etc…)
We came to the interview at around 12:15PM and we had to wait outside until around 1:00PM. After that, we were called to form a line in front of the security guard and started to enter the Consulate one by one. The consulate forgot to get my fingerprint last Friday so I went today and had my finger prints taken. Grrrrr I have to wake up so early to accommodate the INCONVENIENCE . ANOTHER WAITING
