I was schedule for an interview in October 2015 at 8:45am. I reached the US embassy at 8am and was surprised that there is a long queue there and people are sitting on the benches at the waiting area. I suggest to go there early. There is no carpark, the nearest carpark is at Glen Eagles Hospital if anyone of you are driving. When I was there, the security guard was joking, "What the hell is this! What a huge pile! Did you bring your bills too?" The security guard will ask 4 people to stand and queue at the door at a time, once we are being called, you will have to surrender your mobile phone and go through the body and bag scan checks. You will then walk up the long slope into the building. Once you walk into the building, there is another scan and bag check security and then proceed to the visa department on the left.

I was being called after 5 minutes wait, the first officer is a Chinese man like what other posters said. He is extremely professional and friendly, he a... read complete review

My interview was on June 10.

The entire interview process is relative simple and easier than I expected although I waited outside of the embassy for a good 45 minutes.

The first guy I met was a Chinese who mainly to ensure the completeness of all my supporting documents. He only asked me how I met my hubby, what he does and requested for some photos of us. That's it!! Nothing tricky.

The second guy I met was a Caucasian and he is the real Officer who tells you whether he would approve your application. He was very straight forward and told me my case look good and he would approve it within the next day to two.

Yay....and I thought my VISA process ends here, but guess what!!!!!

I found it on Jun 15 that they are not able to issue my visa due to some technical issue with all the VISA systems overseas. I am very upset and disappointed about this as I am supposed to attend my sis-in-law's wedding on the 20th in ... read complete review

Appointment: 09:15 am
Reached: 09:00 am
Entered: 09:20 am
Took photographs from embassy photo booth. It takes only 35 seconds.

Part 1: Document Check (@09:35 am)
The Asian guy was really nice and asked me for Birth Certificate, Police Certificate and photocopies of Birth Certificate. Then he asked for Affidavit of Support. Then briefly asked me to explain how did we first meet and how many times have we met in person. After that he asked me to take seat and an American CO will call me.

Part 2: CO (@09:45 am)
The CO took my finger prints and asked me that how did you first meet and then said your case looks good and I will approve the visa. But I had to leave Singapore for 2 weeks so took back the passport and now my visa will be issued once I am back to Singapore.

I was out of the embassy by 10:05 am.
All officers working in the Embassy are really experienced and know what they are doing. If you are ... read complete review

Singapore USA embassy is generally very very efficient. Once i had my case complete, i received my interview date in less than 2 weeks.=)
The only thing to note is, USA consulate in singapore now hands the actual passport visa collection to a company called Aramex. So i had to renew my passport just before the interview, and i did not remember the details to my passport. Upon completion of interview, i was supposed to log on the a cgifederal website to register which Aramex i would like to pick up my passport from. To my horror i needed to know my new passport number. I had no clue, i could not reenter the embassy, so i put in my singapore I/C number and am now praying for the best. Nerve wrecking feelings are normal at the embassy, but if your case is strong, you're going to get approved!
