The lady that did the interview was harsh. She wanted to deny my entry because the marriage certificate I had was not the original. The state that I was married in files the original certificate at the state capital. I only had an international recognized certified Apostle copy. The interview checked with the her supervisor and did not seem happy to approve my entry.

overall, the whole experience was terrible. Before the interview it was almost impossible to get any answers from them, they were really slow and not helpful at all.
But the thing that literally drove me crazy for several days happened during the interview. As you know, they don’t do K1 right now, and the only way you can get the interview is to joint the lawsuit (which I did). Everything seemed fine, the CO was nice, there weren’t that many questions, we basically talked a little bit and then they asked me to show them some of our pics. I did, the CO even complimented me, but then they said something like this: “Your documents are great, everything is fine, but since your finance’s 2019 income was low, you will need a co-sponsorâ€. I’m sorry, what? We planned to stay in the Moscow area for one week to complete the medical exam as well as the interview. Medical went smoothly, results were sent from IOM to the embassy direct, and took about one hour from start to finish. The interview was straight forward, enter through security and passport check, go to appropriate window for document reviews, and wait for interview. Questions asked: how did you meet and where were you married? What does your husband do for work? Asked about money transfers to family members send from states. Received visa via Pony Express two weeks after the interview.
