I give the Manila US Embassy a rating of 5! There was order in the whole interview process. The people at the embassy was very friendly, especially the US consulate! We finished everything in 3 hours!!! Got my wife's visa approved!!!! God is faithful!!!

My two Step-Kids had their CR-2 interviews January 10th, successful!!
My wife had her CR-1 interview in december, I submitted a favorable review of that experience already.
Once again, I was very happy with the way the interviews were conducted, but like before, the paperwork handling was very screwed up. As the paperwork did get sorted out in a reasonably timely manner, I am not too irritated by it.
Arrived at 6:45 for the 7am interview. Walked straight in, no line outside. Instructed by the IV Unit guard to wait with about 100 other folks for the initial screening. At 7:30, submitted the forms, photos, passport etc..
At 8:15 called to Window Y (not a good thing!), asked for the boy's application, photos, and passport (Hmm, didn't i just do that?), also told that the medical was missing. But was told to pay my fee ($380 X 2) and sit down to wait for my number.
8:30, called again to Y, given a second number, much bigger than the one I had already. Hm... read complete review

Interactions with the interviewers were professional, thorough, and relatively painless. In the process of petitioning, and waiting, the Embassy was less than perfect in maintenance of the documentation and in communicating. Detail follows, overall I'd say a 4 out of 5, but I'm in a good mood right now 'cos we just got approved.
During the I130 petition process, the embassy lost our annullment originals plus other important docs in an LBC delivery that was signed-for by their mail room clerk. Main cost was time as we all were sitting waiting, they for our papers, and us for their response.
Then the "packet 3" as it used to be called was "lost in the mail", another loss of time for us.
Our congresswoman's staff requested an early interview for us, and the embassy granted 2 weeks advance. But when we got there today (at 6:20am) we were not on the list. We persuaded the guards to let us in. Called to Window X (not a good thing), we were informed that our medical was ... read complete review

All seem too go well, not many questions were asked by C.O.. After interview Emelie was given form indicating AP/AR status. The form does not indicate reason(s) for AR/AP status. I called embassy and found that this is not uncommon and we need to wait for further instructions.
