Arrived at Manila embassy at 5AM on Feb. 13th, 2007. Sat outside until around 6:30AM and was told to go to the main gate. Showed Appointment letter to guard and then entered the Embassy. Upon entering the Embassy, an Embassy employee took all of the forms and checked them over. Signed DS-156K, where it says "do not write below this line". (Make sure you have your picture GLUED to the 2 DS-156 forms. DO NOT STAPLE!! Was assigned a number and entered a room to wait for my number to be called. Around 10 am I was called for my interview with the Philippine interviewer, (it was a woman). After a few questions, I again waited for my number to be called. Around 11AM I was called for my interview with the American interviewer, (it was a man). He only asked a few questions and then I was done. Maria arrived very early and nervous but was finished before noon at embassy. She came prepared with an organized folder of additional evidence, photos and documents. Prescreening and interview went very quickly. CO knew how to pronounce stateside sponsor's last name correctly, which is extremely obscure - had to be of same ethnicity. Few questions regarded how many times we met. CO intently read Maria's official annulment of previous marriage and asked a few questions regarding her past relationship and eldest son. Nothing was asked of the two boys in attendance, but they had also came prepared with a folder of their own, which included mutual activities when I visited the Philippines. CO during interview started hand-voiding Maria's and boys' tourist visas in their surrendered passports; a good sign, you can't have both K-1/K-2 visas AND tourist visas. The hoped-for "pink slip" was attached to Maria's document pile at interview end and Maria went to pay the Delbros delivery fee befor... read complete review
