Whenever I called the Embassy's Visa Unit, the ladies there were always very helpful and kind.
My Fiancee's interview experience went very smoothly, but she did mention that the Filipinas/os
conducting the pre-interviews were rather strict. Her interview with the American Consul was short
and sweet with only three or four quick questions.
The issuance and delivery of her visa was delayed because the Embassy shut down a few days due
to a typhoon hitting Manila directly. Can't fault the Embassy for that.

Contrary to other peoples' comments, I find the people who work in the embassy very professional, efficient and courteous. They are very thorough and detailed . A person who comes in prepared and loaded with a bundle of patience will come out with a favorable outcome.
I tried to overcome my nervousness by smiling a lot. They wouldnt know how nervous you are if you do that. Then listen... dont think too much of what to say next, because you might just miss the "question". Most of the CO have a good sense of humor so dont get scared too much.
Although the CO didnt mention that I got approved ( basically because he wants a copy of my NBI clearance under the name in my BC before the spelling was corrected by Civil Registry). After that copy was submitted, I received my Visa in 2 days.
God bless and Good Luck to all of you.

I'm such a lucky lucky girl! I was number two in line. The interview was a breeze for me. The consul was such a nice guy! He only asked me two questions & he spoke to me in Tagalog! He was so good at it I almost believed he was born in the Philippines....
