I am writing this for my wife. She had a 7:30 AM interview and showed up between 6-6:30 AM. She and her mother stayed at Cherry Blossoms hotel a few blocks away for P1,515 for the premium room. It is a great deal.
She had to wait some, but she got out of the Embassy around 11:30 AM.
The pre-screener was nice and collected the data as stated numerous times here.
For the Consul interview, the man was happy and nice. He quickly scanned the documents and said, "Oh, your husband is under 40 years old. This will be quick." (She is 31. I am 38.)
He took the primary documents and only wanted my IRS Tax Transcript (Which you can order from the IRS that includes all your return info. We entered the USEM compound at 545am for our 630am interview. there were roughly 30 applicants ahead of us. we entered at around 7 am and our number was called at about 8-815am. screener was nice and asked my wife a few questions, fingerprint scanning, and asked if we brought pictures in case the CO asked for them. she also asked me when i arrived and i answered a few hours earlier. it wasn't until 930 until we had our interview with CO officer. he asked a few questions that were already asked by the screener but he also asked a question like how long does it take me to get to work. in the end, visa approved as well as our request for visa pick up.
