During my interview I was asked to procure an additional document (Japanese police clearance) and it delayed our processing time for another month.

Our experience at the US Embassy in Manila was pleasant and successful!

My fiancée kong maganda Wennie and I arrived at the embassy around 5am for a 7:30 appointment. Probably too early but just wanted to make the most of the experience. It was awesome, I really enjoyed talking with and observing all the vendors outside the embassy in the queuing area.

They are funny, entertaining and enterprising! They have a few plastic chairs set up..but it will cost you 20 php to rent..hahaha. The best part is that as it gets later in the morning, the price goes up! But on to 30 to 40 php.. Another cleaver service the vendors were providing was that they would hold in very safe keeping you cell phone, for other than US passport holders, you cannot bring you cell phone in the embassy. So these folks will hold it safe and sound for you until you finish you interview for a cool 150 php.

Both the Filipino and US staff we encountered were very ni... read complete review

"God is good all the time."From the very first time we met(my husband and I) was just a pure blessing until now.My initial K1 interview was not all serious at all.She asked me some questions like how tall is your fiance and how tall are you?(my fiance(then)stands 6'4 ft. and me is only 5'2 ft. then we laugh both). She then asked me the dates of when my fiance came to visit me?I answered her with brief descriptions and she smiled at me and said"You don't have to tell me I read all your love stories".Everything goes so smoothly. My interview was with a British lady-she was very sweet and soft spoken. She asked me to raise my right hand and sworned after her.She only asked me 7 basic questions which was a piece of cake. And then she congratulate me and stamped my document "APPROVED"I told her thank you very much with a great smile on my face.

All over it was an overwhelming experience! Arrive at the consulate 10 minutes for the appointment time. Line up, check the passport and ID then enter at the consulate. Got my number and before I could sit down my number flash right away. A Chinese Singaporean was my pre-screener. She was not smiling afterall but anyway, she's nice, she got all my documents excluding the CENOMAR. She check my annulment papers and everytime she ask me question and I answered she take down notes. She ask me to sit down until I will be called again. Then I saw my papers infront of the American consul. He read my Fiance postal mail seriously then check my other documents then got stuck up on my annullment papers again. He talk to my pre-screener and scanned my papers again and again. They were not convinced with my supporting eveidence and start opening the Marriage of indices system. He called my name and ask me questions like:
1. When did you met your fiance?
2. Where did you me... read complete review
