The overall experience was efficient and smooth. The only reason things took a while is because everyone in front of me had problems with their paperwork or their relationships. But that is not the consulate's fault, people should be more prepared and be more legitimate. For those who didn't have issues, it only took 3-5 minutes.

Fiancé was in and out within an hour. The K1 Fiancé lines were short compared to the other visa category lines. Workers in Embassy are local filipinos from guards to the general reception area. Only American employee you will see is the consular officer during the interview. Interview was super quick too....less than 3 mins. Overall very good experience due to how quick it all was.

We started our journey on November 24, 2021. It was in the middle of the pandemic. Earlier on we were thinking that it would not really take more than a year. I think that was the optimism in us but later on had to realize that the pandemic took a lot from us who were in the process. I opened up a support group on facebook for November 2021 filer and has now grown so much and has become a great community of people who are in the journey. Got approved on February 2023. Our case reached the Philippines on April 2023. Had my medical on May 2023, during the first week. The slot I got was for July 2023 interview but with due diligence and help from the group I got a spot on May 2023 and arrived in the US on the 22nd of June 2023. The process was altogether smooth.
