Both the petitioner and the beneficiary were present. We arrived at about 07:00 for a 07:30 appointment. Registration was smooth, and she got her finger scanning done quickly. Not long after, we talked to the pre-screener and presented our evidence.

For the actual interview, they call a person to wait outside each room, while the officer is conducting the prior interview. In our case, the person ahead of us had a very long interview. It was frustrating to sit there waiting, while people cycled through the other rooms. I think that they should wait until one interview is over, before queuing someone else up outside to wait.

Finally, our interview went quickly once she got in. I (the petitioner) spoke to the pre-screener, but not to the interviewing officer. We approved and out the door by about 11:00.

Friday the 13th interview experience:

Pre-screener - nbi, birth certificate, annulment papers, cenomar, fiances financial documents,
2008 w2, tax returns, bank statement, employment certificate and 2 pay stubs. and ONE SCRAPBOOK.
which contains like 20 designed pics.
no other evidence...

CO Interview - didnt take long. it was less than 3 minutes actually... he asked 5 questions about my fiance, and around 10 questions about my ex husband who happens to be an immigrant in the US.
then he told me to wait outside and wait for my name to be called.

i was then called at window 34 and they told me that i have to have another interview and that they'll just call me up for the schedule. they wont give any other details...

it was so frustrating having to wait again. We were stuck at NVC for 6 weeks, got delayed at SLEC because of my annulment (psychological incapacity) , then here we are again...

The interview went very smoothly due to husband to be already contacting his Sen. Lamar Alexlander about our case. Thet asked a few questions but nothing strange until the end and the Consulate asked if I wanted to speak??? The next thing I know they told me I needed to return in 2 days all because Richard had been in trouble with his exwife 30 years ago after I told them that he had told me every thing the first time we met. The Consuate said that was all he needed and said my visa was approved and good luck in our future life.

IO is friendly, he just asked if my husband can walk by himself (he noticed the certification of veteran's benefit among the supporting documents of Affidavit of Support). After browsing briefly my file, he joked that I am a controlling wife and dismissed me.

I just barely out of the room, I saw my number flashed again in another room. Wondering why, I hurried to enter that other room but the guard stopped me saying I'm already done with my turn. I directed his attention to the number flashing in the overhead screen and he immediately called the people inside the processing area about the duplication. It turned out that there's no note in my file so they asked the IO again what's my status. After a few minutes, I saw my file through the glass window with an APPROVED sticker on it.
