My K1 Interview Visa went fast and nice. The first screening went well, the interviewer ask a lot of evidence such as proof of relationship, affidavit of support, photos, etc. She asks me random questions such as when and how did I meet my fiance(which is my husband now), how many times he visited me in the Philippines, what are those dates, did I travel or work abroad and when I satisfied all the requirements and answer all the questions, she ask me to wait for the final interview with the American Consul Officer. It takes awhile for my number to be called but as soon as my number flashes in the Que screen, I entered immediately to the room and was greeted in tagalog by the Officer. He asks me same questions of the first interviewer asks me and as soon as he finishes all his questions for me, he told promptly that my visa is approved, congratulated me, I thank him and wait outside for further instructions. I was in the embassy 5:30am and I finish everything around 9:30am. So fast and ... read complete review

21 June 2010, Monday - My daughter, my fiance and myself were at the embassy grounds as early as 6am. Our appointment was at 7am. We saw several people at the covered tent near the gate; hence, we thought we could already queue. However, the guard advised us to move to the waiting area. He said he will call us when its time for the "7am appointment".
The waiting area was just a few steps away. We were greeted by several Filipinos giving information that we shouldn't bring in cellfone, iPods, colognes etc etc. I was expecting a long grueling day (not to mention possibly frustrating), so I insisted that my daughter finish the chicken burger we bought at McDonald's. I was about to gulp my cup of coffee when people started moving towards the covered tent. The guard was calling for "7am applicants". And I was dying for coffee!
It took us awhile before we finally went through the gate. There was the usual security scan. I was held up for a bit because the scanner showed... read complete review

Got there early. Between 5am-6am appointment was at 7am. Everyone that was there at the embassy, the security guards, the prescreener, the consul were all very nice contrary from what I have read here. The process was very quick, each person I had to go to only took 15-20 minutes it was the waiting that took forever. The prescreener accepted our co-sponsor. They didn’t look at any letters between us, skype calls, text messages, emails, NOTHING! Kind of a bummer since we spent a lot of time and money on gathering that evidence, but oh well. All the prescreener wanted to see besides my documents and the affidavits were our pictures and that was pretty much it. The consul was an American man who spoke in Tagalog. That was kind of funny. Just like the prescreener, he didn’t ask for anything except pictures, nor did he ask any questions about our relationship like how we met where, etc etc. Strange. The prescreener didn’t ask anything too? The only thing they were focused on were my p... read complete review
