I was scheduled for the interview at 6:25 am. I got to the USEm Manila at around 5:30 am. It was already packed at that time. It was organized though since the security guys were there to assist us on where we're supposed to queue.
Before entering the embassy, I was asked to show my appointment letter, receipt, and passport. I only brought a clearbook with all my documents in it to make sure I don't get into any trouble with security as you are not allowed to bring any electronics, liquids, food, etc.
After going through security check, you'll see several windows. This is where I gave them my DS Forms, BPI deposit slip and appointment letter. The person inside compiled 'em and gave them back to me together with my number. I was then instructed to drop it off WIndow 39 and wait for my number to flash on the screen.
PRE-SCREENER
The pre-screener was a Filipina. She asked for my NBI, CENOMAR, NSO Birth Certificate, and my fiancé's I-134... read complete review

good day to all.. surely it is already a late post, had my interview last april 14, 2011 wanna share my interview experienced..
I went to US embassy at 4:30 am(the new building much closer to the baywalk). The guard told me to line up on the the fiancee visa immigrant lane, I cant count how much minutes ive waited standing outside the embassy, i was wearing heels so i feel like standing and waited there for years ahaha.. i think its around 6am when at last the guard started to call us so we can forward going inside the embassy, always ready your appointent letter/confirmation letter that youve downloaded thru online and one ID. the guy outside checked it then a gurl checked it also. I entered the US embassy and saw 3 windows.. that time there is 2 windows open, the woman asked for my appointment letter and the DS forms, She gave it back to me, but she has attached a small piece of paper which has my number throughout the process inside..she then asked me if i was already done... read complete review

The interview went fairly well. I wasn't nervous at all, it was all the waiting that made me anxious. My interview schedule is at 6:25 am so I left home at about 4:45 am and I arrived at the embassy at about 5:20 am. It was still a little dark but there are already several long lines outside the gates. Inside the barricaded area, there are three lines. One for seafarers, another for B1/B2, and the one for immigrant/ fiances visas. Just ask around to see if you are in the right line. There are several people offering help from ballpens, to ID photos, to holding your phones and other gadgets/ liquids for safekeeping. Keep in mind that you only need 2 photos (attach it to your 2 copies of DS156) some might trick you into thinking you need 4 copies for the K1 visa. My mom went with me so I left all my electronic gadgets with her.
The guard started asking people to go inside the premises at about 7:30 am. There is a heavy metal door you have to push rea... read complete review

The overall experience was good and fairly smooth. After submitting paperwork, there were a few very short interviews. The questions were all fairly simple, related to how we met, and personal info about my fiance. They looked at a few pics, and then "you're approved!"
It took quite awhile to finish up, waiting for registration with 2GO couriers.
That's it! Smooth and simple!
