I decided to be there for my fiance through the process so I made a special trip out there to see her. We weren't sure whether or not I was going to be able to enter the Embassy, but this was no problem. My fiance and I stood in line together with the other K1 applicants, and when we checked in via the appointment letter, the guard just asked me if I was the sponsor and I just showed them I had a US Passport.
After entering we realized the Manila Embassy had totally been re-done (it's much nicer now). When you enter, you go through an initial document check and then receive your ticket with your ticket number (you need to keep this the entire time cause you'll be referring to it all day). At this point you go into the main hall where there are many windows. An electronic display board will show ticket numbers and windows to go to. Within the first 10-20 minutes you're ticket number is shown to go to a window where your fiance is finger printed. After this point you wait... read complete review

HI, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FROM THE MEDICAL IN SAINT LUKE'S UP TO THE INTERVIEW AT THE US EMBASSY MANILA WAS SUCH A STRESSFUL EVENT. IT HAS BEEN TIRESOME AND SCARY. NEVERTHELESS I WOULD LIKE TO PRAISE GOD ALL THE HARDSHIPS AND DIFFICULTIES PAID OFF WELL WITH GOD'S GRACE. HE GRANTED US VICTORY OVER THIS.
WE HAD OUR MEDICAL LAST WEEK OF APRIL AND WE HAD OUR INTERVIEW SCHEDULED MAY 18 AT 6:25AM. WE WERE AT US EMBASSY MANILA GROUNDS AT 4AM. WE LINED UP AT 5AM AND EVENTUALLY GET IN THE INTERVIEW WAITING AREA AT 6AM.
THE FIRST PERSON WHO INTERVIEWED US WAS A FILIPINO. HE SEEMS SARCASTIC BUT I HAD MY CONFIDENCE IN GOD AND THAT I MANAGED TO ANSWER HIM POLITELY.
THE THE FINAL INTERVIEW WITH A VERY HANDSOME WHITE AMERICAN CONSULAR OFFICER WHO WAS REALLY NICE. HE JUST ASKED US SEVERAL QUESTIONS WHICH COULD BE EASILY ANSWERED IF YOU AND THE PETITIONER ARE NOT COMPLETE STRANGERS. WE HAD A GOOD TIME TALKING TO HIM. THE ONLY THING THAT BOTHERS ME WAS... read complete review

Fiance went April 25th, All was fine but aparently they had EVERYONE go request new paper work from NSO and also a new NBI ( hers was 2 weeks old). Papers were resimmited papers and no contact by embassy. we have been trying to get this done for 6 months! The embassy has lost her paperwork twice! changed procedures at least once but doint tell anyone! I deploy in 41 days and looks like the time and money i spent will be wasted! ( oh and to add insult the clerk said she needed bribe( maybe that why we screwed cuz we said no )
To me the whole place is a currupt mess and should be wiped from the earth!!!!!

Please see my detailed timeline in my signature. My visa interview schedule was at 11am, but got there early, so the processing including security check, waiting time, biometrics and interview is 25 mins from 10.30-10.55 am...they didn't look at any of my 3 inches thick folder that I brought lol, they referred to the USCIS file and P3 file for questions...Questions were: how did you meet, where does he live, were you married before, do both of you have children, have you been to the US, do you have family in the US, what work I do here, which other countries do I used to live, when was the last time your fiancee visited you, did you travel together to other countries...i just answered straightforward whatever she asked me, and she flipped and scanned through the entire file...all was well

My fiancee showed up at the embassy around 4:00 am and there were already about 50 people ahead of her in line. She said you don't have to show up so early because the embassy officials are well organized and it's not exactly first-come-first-served like at St. Luke's.
She was approved and back at her hotel by 11:30 AM.
