Interview went smoothly for my wife for her CR Visa. I was able to go with her. We got to the embassy before 6, lined up, entered inside. It was a nice waiting area and that's what we did...wait. First for her fingerprint. Then wait. Next the first interview with Filipino woman. Didn't asked much. Where did we meet? How many times and for how long has my wife been to the US? How many times have I been to the Philippines? When did we get married? Then she asked if we had pictures and we held up 3 books of pictures, she laughed and said that was fine and didn't even look at them. Then wait again. Final interview with white guy who asked us barely even anything, just looked at me and seemed happy I came too and that was proof enough. Then he said congratulations, told us to wait again to hand over the 2GO slip that was it! Out by sometime after 10. It took long to get here but it was worth it. Now, we wait for the visa, she goes to the CFO seminar and we plan to leave in... read complete review

Wife arrived at 6:30 AM for her 8:30 AM appointment. She said it was very crowded there. The IV Unit was running about 2 hours behind the appointment schedules. She had about 5 lbs of documents in tow and had anything they could ask for. The pre-screener asked the basic questions and asked my wife if she had letters and phone logs, etc. Wife answered yes and nobody actually wanted to see any of them. The CO interview lasted about 3 minutes. He asked her what my name was and to see our latest pics together. He looked at them, then said OK. Asked my wife if she had ever lived in another country (she had, in HK and Singapore) and told her that when they get the HK Police Certificate (which was only applied for 2 wks before the interview) that they would send the Visa right to her. Sounded great to both of us.

there was a long line outside at the embassy started around 0400 and it was pouring heavy rain. wished i did not have to get in line this early but my appointment was 0645. the staff were nice, accomodating and organized. final session with the american lady consul lasted less than 5 mins, asked me a few personal questions, wanted to know when am i getting married, looked at family pictures then she said " you're approved, good luck!",short and sweet. total processing time from filing I-129 to interview was about 4 1/2 months.i never received any instructions or packet from the embassy.
