Carna's interview lasted maybe 15 minutes. A very short interview by a filipina at the embassy before meeting with the consular officer. I thought I would have to wait outside the interview room, but was told I could be there with her. We had our papers in order, with selected photos of us together over the past three years, including Carna's family (parents and siblings), when I spent time with her at her teaching job in China (with friend's and students). He asked very few questions.
The CO was satisfied with everything and said he was approving her visa. I asked if we could pick it up at the embassy instead of having a delivery service send it to her Phil. address, since she had been working overseas. He said it wouldn't be a problem and gave us a paper to give to the clerk as we were processing things.
It went very smoothly from our perspective, and we piked up her PP witht eh visa after about three more days.

The first thing that we realized after arriving 1.5 hours prior to our assigned appointment time is that you'll have to wait that much longer if you do as we did. Embassy personnel advised that your appointment time on your letter is the time you should arrive at or be going through the Embassy gate. Arriving earlier simply means longer wait time. I guess that because St Lukes has a first come/first serve policy, it is easy to do the same at the embassy.
Anyway, I returned to the Philippines to accompany my wife for her interview, and to assist her by carrying the massive load of supporting documentation that may or may not have been required by the consular officer to prove our relationship.
First we waited to be called to window 40 for fingerprinting. Then wait to be called again.
Our fist tier interview was with a nice Filipino man who was very business like. My wife did not like him, but I thought he was simply focused on his task a... read complete review

My fiance had her interview yesterday. I was not there, but I will give a breif description as to what happened. She arrived at 5:15am for a 6:30 interview time. She waited in line and was let in about 6:15. She went through the series of checks. The pre-screener was very nice and asked her only a couple of questions: her name, birthday, my name, my job, where and when we met and her papers. She then waited a little longer for the actual interview. Asked a couple more general questions and then said "welcome to America". My fiancee responded with, "thank you, hope to see you there", and the consulate laughed. Overall, it was a great experience. We got approved 130 days after NOA1.
