Arrived early for the interview. Dropped DS forms in a window, waited an hour. Got our number called, she did her finger print scans. Waited 1 more hour, got number called again. Went to window and went over documents with girl at the window and told to have a seat until our number is called for the interview. 1 hour wait and we have the interview with the consulate. Asked how/when/where we met, wedding plans, when she plans to go to the U.S. and then said congrats and good luck. About 3-4 minutes total for the interview and she was very friendly and kind. Waited outside about 15 minutes for our number and went to another window to verify some info, then we were told to go 2 windows over to turn in the 2GO sheet for visa mailing and then we left. Overall a good experience.

GG's interview went great. She passed. She said the woman that interviewed her was really nice. I don't work and I do go to school so most of her questions were about what I do for work and school. She told her that I would be graduating in 4 months and would be working then. GG told her that she didn't have plans to work. She asked her why not if I'm only in school. She told her that she would work after we got married if she needed to. She looked at 2 pictures and said GG would be married to me soon. You pass.

This review is being submitted by RK, the USC citizen petitioner (K-1 visa interview). Interview was scheduled for October 12, 2011. The actual process was much the same as described in other reviews so I will try to avoid too much repetitive information.
Fortunately, I was able to visit my fiancee (Inday) during this time so had the pleasure of accompanying her to the embassy and being present during the interview. Inday and I arrived about 5 a.m. for a 6:30 appointment. Waited southside of the embassy near the cross-over bridge. Following previous VJ members' advice, we ignored hawkers instructions on where to line up for K-1 visa, instead Inday and I lined up near road. Waiting by road helped; we were one of first set of persons called by guard who told us where to line up. Guard is person to listen to for where to line-up. After guard had lined up appointees, went through "tent-check" submitting passport, DS forms, etc. and getting sticker as been described pr... read complete review
