Review Topic: K1 Visa

my appointment is 6:30am and I arrived there at 5:45 am. i just followed the line for immigrant/fiance visa.

at 6am, they let us get inside. but before that they will first checked the passport (put a sticker on it and sealed in a plastic bag), appointment letter and DS Forms and they will stapled it together then they will give it back to you..

then they instructed me to enter at the 3rd door.they checked my bag and things thru a scanner and make it sure that you're not bringing gadgets, foods, perfume, deadly weapons. candies are allowed. good thing i brought a lot of candies.. haha..

then i passed thru a very heavy metal door, lol, presented my stapled documents, and then they gave me my no. and gave back my docs and instructed to drop it on window 39. by the way, my lucky no.is 6035..

i went in the new building, they checked again my things then i dropped my docs at window 39. i sit for a while.. at ... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Arrived at the embassy around 5.30 am on my 6.30 am appointment last november 17, 2011. My fiance was with me so i felt confident although almost fainted while waiting outside the embassy coz of nervousness. hehe.

there are 3 lines outside the embassy. from the left K1 and immigrant visa,2nd is for tourists and 3rd is for seafarers.

when the line started to move, guards assist the applicants and when you reach the tent, assistants there ask for the DS forms, appointment letter, passport, BC, Cenomar and NBI. asked if i submitted pictures in st. lukes, since i did, she did not ask picture from me anymore. put a sticker on my passport, told me to go to window (i forgot the number).
went inside the embassy and guards checks again for the things you have. they took my fiance's lighter. hehehe

after reaching the window, the lady gave me a queuing number (6035)and told me to drop the papers in another window (i forgot the number lol)then w... read complete review

My interview experience
My Interview Experience

February 23, 2009 – Monday at 5:45 a.m. -- I arrived at the Embassy and waited for my turn to fall in line. While I was waiting, I saw some Filipino World War II veterans in front of the Embassy registering for their long-overdue benefits. Some of them were proudly dressed in their old military uniforms. The guard finally told everyone to fall in the correct line.

The K1 beneficiaries and the K3 beneficiaries were in the same immigrant visa line. The guard checked my appointment letter and my ID.

Inside the Embassy, there was an usherette to assist you in checking the DS forms. After I finished checking my forms, I then proceeded to get my number. Pay attention to the monitor because the numbers are flashed randomly.

After they took my fingerprints, the Filipino pre-screener interviewed me. She just asked me some basic questions:

- My name and my fi... read complete review

Security Guard are very helpful. Pre-screeners are kind, although there are some are rude but mostly are good. Consulars are gentleman and nice.

Some person incharge in the embassy are not reliable to their words. Telling you to wait until to hear from them. But then waiting for almost 5 months under review, then sending back our petition to the USCIS without informing us until I called them. Already one month late.
