OUR EXPERIENCE WITH CRBA AT MANILA EMBASSY

I noticed that there is no reviews of doing the CRBA here. At least none that I noticed. So here it goes.

Our appointment was actually for 9:30 but we got there at 5:45 because I thought that it was at 6:30. Just a heads up, they DO NOT CARE what appointment time you have for ACS. The guard would let us through the line until 6:30 when they opened the waiting area. The second floor where they do all of the ACS stuff doesn't open until 7:30, so there is no need to rush to the embassy. You will just have to wait for nothing basically. At 7:00 the opened the door for the 2nd floor and let us upstairs. All the CRBA people and a 2000 number. We were 2001. They didnt start calling numbers until 7:30 though, so we waited a little while. Then we got called up pretty much right away. There girl was a nice young Filipina, and asked for all of our documents. She examined everything and made sure all the forms were fil... read complete review

The day of our interview we all woke up at 4:00am for an appointment time of 6:30. We arrived at the embassy by about 5:15am and the line for the Fiance/Immigrant Visas was already pushed back quite a ways. We were let into the line a few minutes later by the gaurd. They started checking everyones appointment letters and putting a sticker on everyones passport then into a plastic bag, then formed a new line. We finally got to canopy where they were checking the appointment letters and was caught by a nice surprise when the man asked my wife if this was our baby and she said "yes" and they moved us to the very front of the new line! We had to bring our 1 month old with us, which turned out to be a blessing. By this point it was almost 6 or so and they called the first wave of people to go through the metal detectors and security, then we had to wait in line again to get our number which was 5000 (its really too bad they dont call those numbers in order lol). We were then let into the em... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance had his interview June 22. He said they asked very few questions and did not want to look at pictures or other proof of relationship he offered. They said they had no doubt about the legitimacy of our relationship. The interview with the Filipino CO went fine.

When he got to the American CO, there was in issue with finances. The CO said he needed current pay stubs. My current pay stubs were actually already in the packet that the CO had, but he apparently didn't notice or care. My fiance tried to explain further that my mother was willing to act as a joint sponsor. The CO said, "We do not accept co-sponsors for the K1 visa" and refused paperwork showing my mother's finances and offer of support. He was issued a 221g on which "proof of current sustained income" was checked. They kept all of his paperwork and his passport and told him to mail the requested documents directly to the embassy via 2GO.

We're now trying to compile another fin... read complete review
