Fiance showed up at the embassy at 6:30 am and said that there were already many people there waiting to enter the embassy grounds. She said she was screened through security and given a number and was told to sit and wait until her number flashed on a screen. She said that her first interviewer was a filipino male who asked her for her papers, and asked her a few questions. She said he was particularly interested in the financials and asked her if I had been supporting her there in the Philippines. She showed him the xoom receipts of money that I had been sending her and he smiled at her. She was then directed to another window and asked to sit until her number was called or flashed on a screen. She said that the american counsular was nice and asked her my name when was the last time we met. He reviewed her papers and told her that the medical exam results were not at the embassy. This was strange because her interview was on 8/17/12 and she finished her medical exam on 8/8/1... read complete review

Hi fellow VJers!
Had my interview last August 30 and finally got my visa approved.
I supposed most of you have already heard about the process which takes place inside the USEM. So I wouldn't go into the details anymore. I would just share some questions asked to me which might be helpful for you guys.
Questions from the Filipino interviewer were:
-Who is your petitioner?
-How did you meet?
-Have you travlled abroad?
-Have you applied for a US visa before?
She took the DS forms, B-cert, Cenomar, NBI clearance, Affidavit of support, ITR and W2. Just that.
She also asked to look at some of our pictures.
I finished biometrics and the initial interview at 9am. So all I was waiting for was the final interview with the American consul.
Here's the catch, after 9am, I finally had my interview at 2:30PM. CAN YOU JUST BELIEVE THAT? I was the last number called from all ... read complete review

Interview was very fast. He didn't want me to answer any questions. My wife was only asked 4 or 5 and she was done and approved. Very long wait. Took us 6 hours.

It was a great day for me and Sunny/Joy for we both got approved today!
After all the days of waiting and thinking about how the consul would accept my case on co-sponsorship, here I am now as one of those living proofs that USEM Manila does not always deny co-sponsors.

Before everything else, here's a little story about finding a good friend here on VJ and enjoying the journey every step of the way..
I met Sunny/Joy and her fiance Richie through this site and found out we're the same age, filed almost the same date, we both live in QC, petitioners live in the same state and close cities and both are Filipinos by blood. We met and became friends and received our MNL Case Number on the same day and scheduled our interview on the same date too.

Now the day we waited for finally came. Sunny and I met at McDonalds EDSA at 4:00AM and took the cab from there to the USEM. We got there at... read complete review
