I want to write a review as a means of giving back to VisaJourney. We referenced to this site countless times from the filing to the actual interview process. I have read and reread the reviews in preparation for my interview. VisaJourney really helped us a lot and for that we are very grateful.
My visa interview appointment was on November 8, 2012 at 7:30am. When I got there at around 6am, I learned that there is no more deposit counter for cellphones so I had to ask my friend to come to the US Embassy to keep mine. Before going in the US Embassy compound, a staff got my appointment letter and put a sticker at the back of my passport (with a barcode and my name on it). After passing through security check, I got a ticket number from a window. I was instructed to sit at the far end of the waiting area and to watch out for my number from the electronic board.

I just got back to Alaska tonight and wanted to share our experiance and some observations.
We had a 7:30 appointment on November 6 and got there at 5 am. I wouldn't do that again. Get there about 6am would be fine for getting in line.
I've read where some say that they will put your papers in order for you. Not on this day. She stepped out and yelled the order. If you missed it...oh we'll...so if you are going, the order is 156, 157, 156, 157 and then the 156k. Everybody in line was shuffling papers. Save yourself a little stress and do it that way. Also have your appointment letter ready. She handed us a ziplock and told us how to put the passport in it. The only advice here is to have your documents in order before you go.
After that, off you go to get the "number". They then direct you to the waiting area. Some advice here, make sure to sit in the fiancée section. These are not well marked (small signs that can't be seen from afar). On... read complete review
