About 6 hours total processing...
1. Waited in line at the back (near the overpass) together with the other K1 applicants.
2. Went through the first checkpoint - passport, first page of appointment letter, DS forms in this order: DS-156, DS-157, DS-156, DS-157, DS-156K
3. Went through the security scan. Make sure no electronic devices like cellphones and USB drives. Umbrellas are allowed inside.
4. Fall in line to get a number. I was asked if I am done with the medical exam and then told to drop the stapled DS forms (with the number) at window 38. I just went straight inside. No need to wait near the canteen. Immigrant visa section is on the right side of the door.
5. When my number first flashed on the board, it was for finger printing. Four fingers on the left hand first, four fingers on the right then 2 thumbs together.

We were approved on our k1 and k2 visa yesterday at Manila USEM! thank you for the help Here’s an account of our k1/k2 visa interview yesterday. Our appointment is 7:30 am. We're from Tarlac but we decided to stay in a hotel the night before since I have a 3 y/o daughter. We woke up at 4am, had breakfast, prepared for the interview and double-checked my documents. Swear! hirap gisingin ng bata even if pinatulog ko sya ng 7pm the night before. At 5am paalis na kami ng hotel, we hired a cab. At 5:10AM we were at the Manila Embassy na. Andami ng taong nakapila. They are lined up in three rows: immigrant, non-immigrant and seafarers. these people are for the 6:00-6:45 appointment. for the 7 am onwards na appointment we were sitting at the benches. At 6:30am, the guard went back and told us to proceed to the booths regardless of the appointment time.
