My interview date was just last Monday..April 8, 2013
My scheduled appointment time is 7:30AM. I woke up at 4:30 am...prepared..had some breakfast and by 6:20AM I was on my way to the embassy. I wore a dark blue A-line skirt, light blue long sleeved blouse and a flat shoes (in my experience this was helpful because you have to get in a queue and stand inside until there is an available chair)
When i got there, as expected, the line was already long...K1 visa is given same priority as Immigrant Visa so you have to get on queue at the leftmost one. At the pre-entrance the ladies in blue poloshirt will look for your passport, appointment confirmation, and forms DS 156.157,156k (with their appropriate number of copies). If they see its complete they will place the barcode sticker prepared with your name on it at the back of your passport then proceed to entrance. In the entrance they will be the strict security check. I know you probably know this already but ... read complete review

My wife and I had every paper we could think of.. Photos, conversations .. you name it we had it.. We got the the interview window... He asked us a total of 6 questions between the 2 of us... He didn't even ask to see anything at all.. Then he simply stated "Your application is accepted" Yessss!!! Basically if you read your appointment email carefully it will state what you really need to bring.. We brought all the extras but we really didn't need them.. I guess better safe than sorry is a good idea.

Our appointment was at 6:30am. When we arrived at the embassy around 5:30am there were 2 lines, one for tourist visas and one for immigrant visas. The people near the entrance had appointments at 6:15am. There was another queue of people behind the first line for appointments at 6:30am. We waited there, and entered the building around 6:30am. Outside the embassy, To enter, show your appointment letter and passport of petitioner and beneficiary. They will give you a plastic bag where you will put your passport with ID page opened, also they will give you the 2go delivery slip. When you enter the main security entrance of the embassy, U.S. citizens have a different entrance than non-US citizens. US citizens can bring electronic devices and keep them there. My wife got a number slip from the next kiosk after the main security check. When you enter the huge embassy hall, give your appointment slip to the girl at the counter.
Now here is when the fun begins. You are given a ... read complete review
