The interview at the embassy was quick and easy. As long as all your documentation is right and you have a real relationship there is no problem. Genda's interview lasted all of 5 minutes...

Time of Appointment: 7:30 a.m.
Arrived at the embassy: 6:00 a.m.
The line for the K-1 visa was short and we were asked to enter the embassy around 6:30. While in line outside the embassy, the staff asked us to hand them our passport along with appointment letter, DS forms 156, 157 and 156K. They put my passport in a ziplock bag and stapled the forms together and handed them back to me.

We\'d prepared for her to be grilled about my income, my multiple previous marriages and our age difference, which is unusually vast. She carried letters from me concerning many possible questions and had memorized detailed information about my previous marriages, her living situation when she arrives in Texas.
None of it was needed, thankfully. Perhaps it was our many prayers, because the other reviews from that week also seem to indicate a streamlining and more lax attitude from the Consulate.
Elnie arrived on May 7 at the gate at 4am, which worried me in case she was the first to arrive and would have to stand alone on Roxas, totally defense... read complete review
