Interview date: July 30, 2013
Appointment time: 7:30 A.M.
5:40 – arrived at the embassy
6:45 – the embassy staff told us (k1 visa applicants) to form two lines.
While falling in line, the lady wearing blue shirt instructed us to prepare the following:
- Passport
- Appointment confirmation
- DS 156 (2 copies)
- DS 157 (2 copies)
- DS 156K (1 copy)
7:10 – I entered the embassy to get my number that will be used for the whole process. After getting my lucky number, I went straight to the waiting area to double-check my DS forms and then after that, I handed the forms to the staff so she can drop the forms to window 39.
8:50 – My number flashed for biometrics. I was asked for my complete name and date of birth.
9:10 – Interview with the Filipino consul. He asked me the following:
How old is your fiancé?
How old are you?
Are the stam... read complete review

My interview was last July 25th together with my 12 year old daughter. We arrived at the consulate 6:45am and our appointment time was 7:30 am. When we got there we joined the line with other people applying for non immigrant visas. After checking our appointment letter they also collect our ds156,ds156K,ds157 then staple it all and they got our passport and put inside the ziplock. Then they let us enter and pass through x-ray scanner. And yeah, consulate doors are very heavy for me,like i cant pull(lol). Anyways, got in the main building there are a lot of people and finally got our queue number 6182. The lady wearing blue shirt told me to review our ds forms and make sure theres no blank on it or else the consul will not accept it. After i reviewed our ds forms, i give it to her and she was the one who put our ds forms to window 39 and told me to sit and wait for our number to be flash. My number flashed and I went to window 43, an American consul asked my name and bday and same als... read complete review

Had my interview yesterday, August 01, 2013 (my lucky day!) USEM called me a week before the original schedule I made online, July 31st. They cancelled the appointment and luckily August 1st is available.
My mom and I stayed at Best Western La Corona Hotel the night before my interview. Had only 2 hours of sleep LOL, then got dressed at 5am. Ate a little, and of course had a cup of coffee to help me get through the day. Called my fiance and told me to do breathing exercise before I go hahaha (breathe in and breathe out)It helps I swear!
At 5:45am we arrived at USEM. Took a taxi from the hotel and gave the driver 100 (genorisity in the morning - good vibes!!) WOW.. I was really surprised when I came to USEM, the line was crazy long! I asked people around for K1 applicants line. Then a street vendor assisted me to a line near the footbridge and gave a me chair, some brochures and asked me to pay 30 pesos! My mom stayed on the other side and mingled with ot... read complete review
