Review Topic: K1 Visa

I arrived at USEM 4:30am and fall in line together with other K1 applicants. I rented a chair for 30Php because I was wearing high-heeled shoes. We were called to enter at around 6:30am so I think its ok not to be to early anyway its not a first come-first serve basis.. At the tent, before entering, I was asked to present the appointment confirmation page, DS160, and my passport.

Then my passport was placed in a ziplock bag and i was given a queue number. Do not lose the queue number because from start to the last step, this will guide you when its your turn and what window to go.

As I entered, things were checked so make sure not to bring things which are not allowed – gadgets, food, &drinks. On the first window I went, the appointment confirmation page was again asked then I was just instructed to go to drop it at window __ (i forgot! Hehe) but when I entered the facility, a staff just ask for my the appointment confirmation page and DS160.. so instea... read complete review

Hi vj! It's approved!
Me and daddy arrived at usem manila at around 0330, there are chairs for rent and lines were classified. I was fifth on the immigrant line. Then at around 5am the security guard told us to go forward then we formed a two lines and they put a sticker with number on our passport same on the paper for 2go visa delivery paper.we just showed the first page of appointment letter. Due to nervousness my 2go paper fell on the ground and got wet, too bad, but thanks God it was not teared, hehe Around 6am we were instructed to go inside,it was like an airport entrance, we gave the first page of our appointment letter then they gave it back with Que. number attached into it. They said to drop the appointment letter in window 39 but the lady collected it from us. Keep your eyes on the que board. My number was flashed around 0615, it was likes this 6007 42, my number was 6007 and go to window 42. First step was the biometrics, they asked my name, my maiden name and my bit... read complete review

Thank God evrything went well. I would like to share my experience to other K1 visa applicants in VJ.

I was there at 5:30am. Sked is 7:30am. A few guys were offering chair rentals for 30 pesos. These chairs are aligned however this is not the line for K1. At 6:15am the guard will ask for K1 applicants to fall in line with the immigrant applicants. PHoNEs and gadgets are not allowed. Some people will offer you their service to keep them for you, so the risk is yours, better not to bring one or ask a relative or a family member to keep it for you while waiting. For those who worry that they cannot communicate after the interview, a few people are offering text and even can call overseas services. I ask one lady and she said 50 pesos per minute for overseas calls.

While in the line outside the embassy going inside, they will ask for your passport ( they will put a sticker with a number on it. They will hand you a delivery form from 2go which has the same numb... read complete review

All was well. Basic papers/requirements were only asked. Questions were easy as long as you know what you are talking to! Be smart and they will not asks you more questions
