Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Hi guys I just want to share my unforgettable experienced yesterday during my interview. =)

My schedule interview was at 6:15 am so we arrived at the embassy at 5:30 am and I was surprised to see a lot of applicants already in a long line. There are many lines outside so be sure to ask where is your proper line, I did ask a lady where is the line of the 6:15 a.m immigrant applicants and then she showed it to me and to my surprised it was one of the longest line. At 6 a.m the guard let us comes in first (all the immigrant visa line) they told us to prepare our P4 (Interview Letter) only the first page and the passport. Then they gave me a number and a form ( 2Go Shipping Form) Next stop is to put all my stuff to a scanner for an inspection and then I went to a Window 1 and a Filipino guy gave me a small zip-lock plastic and he told me to go to the Door 2.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancé just got home from his interview and he said it was all very easy. He overheard several other K1 interviews and they were all approved, even though some were missing documentation. He said he was asked a few of the same questions we've seen on VJ:

-When's the last time you met? Any pictures from that visit?
-How did you first meet?
-When and where are you getting married? (interestingly, the consul's sister also got married in SF City Hall)
-When do you plan to travel to the US?

I think there were some others, but they were all standard questions we've seen before. Nothing tricky. My fiancé said that all of the staff members, both Filipino and American, were quite nice from start to finish. The final American consul even said, "Yours is the simplest case I've had all day." And the visa was approved!

Follow the K1 guidelines on this site. They work. Check and double check. You don't need to overkill it on the... read complete review

Warning: Sobrang haba, pwedeng skip at wag na lang basahin hehe. Posting for those who requested to share my US Embassy interview experience. Ladies, here it is.

My daughter (7 y/o) and I arrived at US Embassy at 5:30AM for our June 3, 2014 7:30AM appointment schedule.

I asked the guards where is the queue for the 7:30 fiancee visa appointment, then went to the back of the last person in line. There met new friends, chika chika while waiting.

A few minutes before our scheduled appointment, we were told to move to the next point where we’re told to prepare passports, DS-160 confirmation page, and appointment confirmation first page. They put our passports in a ziplock plastic while they stapled our documents altogether and we’re told to enter the door.
Upon entering, we were to pass the scanning of our things. They asked us to put everything including the contents of our pockets and submit for scanning. Then entered another door.... read complete review

Haven't got any available appointment date since I paid the visa FEE last May 27, 2014, and I've been checking online. They said it's fully booked and wait til there's an open slot.
