Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I have always waited for my turn to write a review with regards to Interview result. So, here it goes.

We, me(IR1) and my kids (IR2) were scheduled this morning, July 2nd @ 6:15AM. We arrived at the embassy 10 minutes before 5AM and the line for Immigrants is already way long. The street vendors along the USEM bombarded us with questions like, do we have pictures already or we need a black pen and even offered to take our bags for them to watch since according to them big backpacks which my son is carrying is not allowed inside. Although the process in itself is daunting with many hurdles to cross, the US Embassy in Manila was top shelf. My fiancee was made comfortable from the first person who spoke with her and by the time she got to the interview she was not nervous at all.

My fiancee had her interview last week and we are approved fro the visa. I am writing this review because I attended it with her

Overall, it was a great experience, though there is a lot of waiting...

We arrived at the Embassy around 6am for our 7:30am appointment. By about 6:30 we we had our number assigned (#6099) and then began watching the boards for our number to appear.

At approximately 6:50 we were called up for the first step. Asked some basic questions and then my fiancee had to do the biometrics - finger print scan. We were then told to sit back down and wait for our number to appear again.

At approximately 8:10 our number appeared for the second step. At the window, we were asked more questions, went through the I-134 documentation, and then was asked for originals of CENOMAR, Birth certificate, NBI and her other police clearances. The CO requested originals of everything, he would not accept c... read complete review
