Review Topic: K1 Visa

My K1 interview went smoothly so I am currently waiting for my passport and my approved K1 visa. The Filipina Consul who interviewed me was very thorough. She asked me the following:
(1) My Name,
(2) Date of Birth,
(3) Petitioner's Name,
(4) How did we met?,
& (5) Why doesn't she have an ITR?
My fiancee is retired and her means of income is her pension which passed the Poverty Guideline. Anyway, after giving her some VA letters certifying my claims, she took m passport and she told me first to just wait and then she said I could just take a seat because she has to verify if it's ok that I'm not presenting an ITR. Anyway, after the long wait, my queue number flashed for the American Consul interview. The Consul was nice and asked me this:
(1) My Name,
(2) How did I met my fiancee,
(3) "As a member of the LGBT, I know you have experienced difficulty. Tell me your family's reaction when you told them that you are officially to... read complete review

So I'll tell you my story..

I went to USEM around 6:30 and I saw lots of people on the line. Of course k1 visa has its own line (since k1 filers are special). At the end of the line the lady asked question like "are you pregnant?" When I entered, I went to the window and the guy there gave me the number that I used in the whole process. So I gave my ds-160 to the guy inside and told me to wait to my number to be flashed in the monitor. After 15 minutes i think, my number flashed and told me to go to window __ (i don't remember) to get my finger print.. Then sit again. Then I waited again while reading my book. After the long wait, I was called again to the next window. The lady there took all my requirements and asked some questions. She asked my fiances job, I said none because he is studying. She was shocked and asked "what is his income?" And I said "he has money in the bank that creates income" I was so nervous because I'm afraid that they won't accept it because ba... read complete review

I was with my fiancee for the interview. We stayed at the Bayview hotel across the street and walked across the street to the embassy in the early morning. There was a very long line outside the gate and it was initially confusing as to where we should go. Just ignore the line and go to the front. Marriage applicants have a separate line than everyone else. Once inside it was a simple 3 or 4 hour wait to be called to three separate windows. The first window is for fingerprinting, second for Filipino consular interview, and third for US consular interview. The Filipino consular only asked to see some pictures. The US consular only asked my fiancee to tell him something unique about me. It could have been anything such as I'm scared of frogs or something. It was an easy interview with me there. Filipinas that didn't have their fiancee with them didn't seem to have much of a problem, either. Once we were approved we had to go to one more window for processing. We had the visa packet sent ... read complete review
