Review Topic: General Review

It took her forever for the process, a lot of waiting but was approved. Her NBI was old so she just needed to update it,which she did. She was asked very general questions. Interesting part was she has a friend who works at the embassy and she was told they will not deny anyone true fiancee visa as long as all the paperwork is on order. How true that is I do not know, but it works for me. All we have to do now is wait for the visa to arrive and she will be on her way.

I had my interview on June 26, 2015. We arrived at the embassy around 5:30AM for our 7;30AM appointment. I was #7 in the K1 line.

Around 7AM they checked the documents and gave us our number I am with my fiance that time. Once inside the embassy they are calling numbers by batch.

Step 1: Fingerprint asked about your name, age and fiance's name and address.
Step 2: Pre-Screener with Filipino consul submitted all the documents BC, NBI, CENOMAR, Medical, Affidavit of Support with 1040 and 1099. He asked about the divorce decree of my fiance and he checked the packet it was there. Told us that the affidavit of support was very good. I asked him if the visa releasing is 2 to 3 weeks he said they already resolve the problem and they can print visa's fast now.
Step 3: Oath Taking with the American Consul
Step 4: Interview
I was not nervous that time maybe because my fiance was with me had our interview around 11:30AM with a very rude... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Everything was pretty organized for the number of people there, guess I would call it organized chaos. We arrived around 530 AM and finished around 1130. We could have arrived earlier and gotten done faster, however I was happy with waiting longer inside with the air con then outside before entering.

We spent almost the whole time waiting in one line or another, once we got to each window things went very fast. The pre-interviewer only asked my fiancee a couple of questions (how did we meet, have either been married before, etc.) The CO we had was very nice. My fiancee was really nervous, and he told her to take a deep breath and relax. After that he actually was laughing a lot with us as he asked a few questions of me and my fiancee, as well as her son. In fact, in a funny moment, my fiancee's son dropped a few peso coins on the counter he had in his hand and the CO joked "are you trying to bribe me?" The CO even asked if we could stay the rest of the day as he ... read complete review
