Review Topic: K1 Visa

Rating is a 4 out of 5 which is pretty good. The only problem is that my fiancee forgot some paperwork at the hotel (good thing she booked right across the street.) All in all there was a lot of waiting to be done. She was one of the first there as she got in right when they opened. She was out by about 6 hours. It was a long day for her but our packet was approved. The CO looked at the packet only briefly as he had reviewed it before she was called up. He asked a few simple questions (Does your Fiancee have kids?, When was he here last?) Said, "looks good" and told her to wait for the Visa in the mail (2go). Interview was on the 25th, CEAC website updated to Issued on the 28th. She will do her CFO seminar in Cebu on the 1st, and I'm hoping to fly her on the 3rd if the Visa is in hand by the 2nd.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview was last March 26, 2015 at the US Embassy, Manila. I stayed at Hostellery Hotel, a walking distance from the embassy. The hotel was simple but for a practical person like me, it was fine because it was cheap and the accommodation was nice. Although, the place was just a walking distance, I decided to take a taxi for fear of bad elements along the way. I was on my way around 4 o'clock in the morning. I was the 3rd person in queue for the K1 visa interview and there were lots of people already when I got there. There were several vendors selling ballpens, umbrellas, candies and chairs for rent for 30 pesos each. Please dont be persuaded to get any photo as those vendors suggested. You dont need them. Just bring your visa photos, have plenty copies of that on hand, the more the better. You will need them even when you get here to the US. I rented a chair because it was very early yet and I will get tired for long standing. Do not bring anything with you not even wa... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My interview was last August 12. I got there at around 6:30am for my 7:30 interview. The was a guard who checked my papers & told me to line up at K. I did. When I got to the front of the line the lady told me I had to line up at either a or b cause I was in the wrong line. I lined up at b. I was second in line the lady in front me was in the wrong line. When I got to the front before the lady even saw my papers she yelled out you should be in the other line (where I was before) then I said I'm applying for a K1 visa! Then she said okay just wait. Then she told me to go to the back of the line for Line A. She should've just told me that before making me wait at b! The Filipino employee from the 2nd step asked for my Passport, NBI Clearance, Cenomar, Birth Certificate & DS2019 from my previous J1 visa. They didn't ask for his financial documents or proof of relationship. The interview itself didn't even last 5 minutes. The American consul just asked me 4 questions. How long was I in th... read complete review
