I am writing this based on what my fiance told me. She got there early in the morning to lineup. We heard that it could be a long day. Once they opened the door she was done in less than an hour. The people were are very friendly and positive. She had all of her supporting evidence with but was not asked to produce it. The interview itself was about 5 minutes. For all of our anxiety it was a very easy process.

The Consulate was very systematic. There were clear instructions what window to go next after the other. There are 5 windows to go through biometrics then initial interview and lastly is the final interview. Consuls are very kind and polite. They only asked for my Birth certificate, CENOMAR and NBI (Criminal Investigation Report). Then asked 3 questions about my fiance and she said you are good to go. I gave a rating of 4 being 5 as the highest because of my experience regarding RFE, I was under 221g meaning I have the lacking documents. During USCIS stage we were RFE because my fiance forgot to answer the questions regarding criminal records. We responded to that RFE on May 23, 2015 and we got approved on June 19, 2015. Not knowing that USCIS forgot to include our response in the packet, NVC immediately mailed our packet to Manila Consulate without it. The consuls asked for it, good thing we reproduced everything we submitted to them. Visa was delayed for a bit but still a very good e... read complete review

Had my interview last Monday (October 26). Our appointment is 7:30 a.m., we got there at around 6 a.m. and we were finished at 8:30 a.m. Yup that fast! Since I was with my 2 year old daughter, a K2 applicant, we were grouped with the senior citizen applicants.

Questions asked during the Pre-screening with Filipino consul: Petitioner's name, When did we meet? Have we tried to apply for our daughter's US Citizenship? (Yup, my fiance is my daughter's biological father who's a natural born US citizen. We applied for her CRBA last June 8 but got denied since my fiance has lived here in the Philippines when he was 15 years old up to when he finished his college just last year. For CRBA applicants, The US citizen parent must have at least 5 years residency in the US, 2 of which after he/she is 14 years old.) I just told her that I have the Denial letter and she just asked for a copy.

I went there around 6am and there is a line for K1 applicants. please ask the guard where to line up. It was a long line but if you go inside it wouldn't matter.

1st step: the fiances will be called to line up near the entrance, ready your passport, DS160, appointment confirmation letter. IV greeters will place a sticker at the back of your passport

2nd step: go inside the door, like in the airport, you will place your things in the xray machine. please include everything including your keys, wallet, everything inside your pockets must undergo the xray machine.

NO ELECTRONICS IS ALLOWED, please be advised.no cellphones, cameras, earphones, usbs, etc. don't be stubborn, leave it at home or hotel! you can also leave it with the outside vendors but for a hefty fee.

3rd step: you will be lining up again, present your ds 160, appointment and confirmation, they will staple a number TAKE NOTE OF THE ENDING NUMBER IF YOU ARE LOST,... read complete review
