It happen so fast.. They are very organized. I was with my husband and my son during their interview. We went there just right on time before they let people in.. They let me in as well even if i dont have an appt. good thing i did because i forgot to sign one of the papers so i was able to sign those before the interview with IO. Until our time, he first talk to my husband and son and ask their names and birth date. And the rest of the question was all for me i guess. Gosh. Im not even ready. Lol. He asked why it took me months to file the petition.. And so on. Diidnt even heard him say Congratulations that is why i am hesitant if we made it or not until we went to the window where u fill up a paper where you want them to send u the passport with visa. Wooohhh. We made it.. I think the whole process was just an hour and half.

Everything went well. The steps are easy to follow inside the embassy and there are people who will assist you each step.

For my pre-screening: I did it two times since the first time the system went down. The Filipino screener asked my name, who is my petitioner and the original copy of my cemar. I submitted the original copies of my birth and marriage and police clearance at nvc so he didn't asked for it anymore.

For the interview with the consul: a very nice lady interviewed me. The questions asked are:
Who is my petitioner?
How long have you been married?
How long have you been together in total?
How many times he's been here?
What do you like the most with him?
We have a joint sponsor so she asked who is he, and I told her his father.

Then she told me I have everything here and your visa is approved!

rating 5 of course because we passed! lol!
kidding aside, it's actually true that our experience was pleasant. our process was also expedited because my 1 yr old son was with me. they prioritize senior citizens, PWDs, preggy women and those with kids in tow. we didn't have to wait in line too long and everyone we encountered were nice.

APPROVED!

Thank you Lord.

This is based on the steps that i can recall.

Had my interview today. Went inside the USEM Manila at exactly 6:15 AM.First is giving the queuing number then the finger printing where u put left and right four fingers and both thumb. Second is the pre screening i think, staff asked me for my BC, MC, CENOMAR, and NBI (mine doesn't have AKA but was accepted). At this point she asked me of the countries i have been to other than PH, i told her USA only. Do u have any overstay? I told her none. She then asked me how long did u stayed there? A year and eighteen days. You have any waiver for your overstay? I told her its not required for the J1 visa bcos it has a 30 days grace period after your program ended. However she did not believe me and put a note on my file regarding this. I told her i have something from the us state website that i printed out. Also i still have ny DS 2019 available and she can look at it if s... read complete review
