I had my interview last May 18, the consul said I was "approved"....Everyone was so nice during the interview...I was assigned and interviewed by a bubbly consul, though my fiance's presence was really cool and boost confidence..but the consul was teasing me of not minding my fiance' if he would hear my answers coz we will do some sort of gossip towards him...I laughed to that....He asked few questions...and cracked another joke " I will approved you when you could force "him" (referring to my fiance) to eat and try "Balut" then said joke Youbguys look great together you're APPROVED and so happy to hear it...it was all an awesome experienced and super blessed day!!!

All things considered we had mostly positive experiences with the USEMB-Manila, to include both of our children's CRBAs. No bad attitudes or rudeness, no surprises, no games. Remember, they don't make up the rules or the requirements, they just execute the laws set forth by Congress and the State Department. I would have given them a solid 5 stars, except for the Embassy (apparently) lost my wife's Israel police clearance, then just kind of shrugged it off and said "well, we can't issue her visa until we receive her police clearance." In other words, get another one. We did, but it took almost 2 full months. Our interview was 17 FEB 16; the visa was issued 13 MAY 16, and received 18 MAY 16. Other than the police clearance issue everything else went smoothly.

My original interview date scheduled by NVC was on May 25. I rescheduled it once my papers arrived at US Embassy Manila, so that's why my interview was earlier (May 6). The interview went well. A lot of questions were asked during the pre-screening by a Filipino consul. During the final interview (American consul), it's just like we're having a casual conversation and I didn't feel tensed at all. She even complimented the top that I'm wearing. Lol. I was done by 9:40AM.

Everything was fairly smooth, I am not going to go step by step through the process as many others already have. I will however point out certain things in which I was pleased or displeased

GOOD:
1) Fairly organized process start to finish, with plenty of helpful personel
2) Facilities were not bad, enough room for the huge demand or want for USA visas
3) Americans were very polite and also discerning in cases I overheard in line where they should be.
4)The whole process was fast, THERE IS NO NEED TO ARRIVE EXTRA EARLY, save yourself the trouble and arrive 30 mins before your interview time. Just allow for the traffic aspect of travel.

THE BAD:
1) The Filipina prescreener is a total bitch, not that it really matters as she makes not one bit of difference in the decision process, but still, it is enough to put you in a crappy mood after dealing with her.
2) ... read complete review
