We arrived Aug 30 at 6:30 for our 7:30 appointment. Many people there to help you fall into the right line. Even people in line help you to get in the right line. Started pouring rain so very hard so all lines dissolved into everyone invited under the tents together. Because of the rain, they started processing quickly and getting people inside. Everything was very efficient. The finger scan was the worse part because everyone's fingers were wet from the rain and hard for the fingerprint scanners to read. Filipino consul asked a few minor questions, but he could not find our son's medical report. My wife's was given to her by St. Luke, but St Luke sent our son's report directly to the embassy. We were told to sit and wait while they looked for it. They found it after 20 minutes of searching. Then we went to the US consul. Just a few minor questions and the man said you are approved. You can go now and change into dry clothes. Approved yeah!!!! 9:30

The overall process took about 3 to 4 hours. I attended the interview with my fiance. Our appointment was for 6:45am, and even though we arrived a bit early, we stood in line and didn't enter the embassy until after 7:30am. There were many K1 and CR-1 applicants there that day.

Upon entering the embassy, we passed through security and were escorted to the first of five stations. Interestingly, security didn't require me to show my US passport, but considering I'm a tall, white, nerdy-looking guy, they probably figured I wasn't too much of a threat.

Everything went smoothly, with only basic questions being asked. My fiance and I were well-prepared and had all of our supporting paperwork in hand. As we had registered his mailing address online prior to the interview, we were able to skip the fifth station. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and we didn't encounter any animosity or harassment. As I was in attendance, as petitioner, I... read complete review

Staff was friendly, my fiancé had her evidence folder so well prepared that the interview only took a few minutes before she was approved. After you receive your visa you have to attend the CFO seminar in Manila and get a certificate before you can leave the country.
